I am as Type A as you could imagine the most Type A person is.
I have OCD. I’m impatient. I’m a perfectionist. I have anxiety & get easily overwhelmed. I’m a control freak.
I had no business trying to plan a wedding on my own.
I knew hiring @cedarandsagewed to help plan my dream wedding would be a fantastic idea, but I don’t think I ever could have dreamed that this vision I had, one I could not creatively put into words would come true in such a way that I had to keep blinking my eyes to make sure I was really seeing everything I saw.
It is rare that I’m okay letting go of. Often times when I have given someone else control, I get let down. And that’s why I always end up just doing stuff on my own.
Katie made it immediately apparent that I could LET GO & let her take over. She asked for our vision, & created mood boards we didn’t have to make a single edit to. They showed everything in my brain that I couldn’t communicate.
Over the next 16 months, Katie provided her professional insight without insulting or overriding my ideas. She matched my Type A personality w/ checklists & organized sheets, curbed my anxiety w/ constant communication, & was always days ahead, never behind, on any tasks that needed to get done.
Katie managed not just crazy little me, but also more than 10 other vendors I hired for our wedding.
If there were ever any hiccups - well, I never knew if there were because she made them her problem, not mine. She said my focus was to be present in the moment, & let her handle it. Not only does that make her an amazing wedding planner, but an amazing friend as well.
For the last year of my engagement all I heard was “just wait, things will go wrong,” “just wait, it won’t turn out exactly like you hope.”
Not only did it turn out like I hoped it would - my wedding exceeded my vision & hopes more than I ever thought possible.
I wrote a lot in this review - but the truth is, I’m still speechless when I think back on the day.
TL:DR: Katie w/ Cedar & Sage Weddings is the only wedding planner you should even think of hiring. No one else will be near as awesome.

I can’t even begin to talk about my incredible wedding experience with Katie and her team. First off, she is extremely prepared in her first discussion with you. That’s why I had picked her. Right from there I knew the experience was going to be great. But - leading up to the day of she makes sure for months in advance you are also prepared. Her vendor list is 10000/10000 I can’t even tell you how many compliments day of. Her team is efficient and they made sure my day went PERFECTLY. I’m not kidding her team turned my ceremony location (lost dutchman) and reception (our backyard) into a fairytale and a dream. She works SO HARD and it shows. I can’t even describe how happy I am that I picked Katie. 10000/10 would a million percent recommend.

As a bride who had previously worked in the event industry, I knew the importance of having a coordinator but it wasn't until experiencing it personally, that I fully understood just how grateful I was for Katie and her team! We utilized Cedar & Sage for month of coordination for our NYE wedding, and we couldn't have done it without them!!

From the very start Katie was personable, professional, organized, creative, and fun! She helped alleviate stress in the weeks leading up to the wedding with our calls, and google docs to keep everything straight. We didn't have a traditional bridal party, and weren't sure if we even needed to do a rehearsal, but were so glad we did and that we had Katie there to keep everyone on track 🙂

And of course the most important support her and her team provided was on the wedding day! We were able to fully enjoy, be present and stress free, because we knew Katie had everything handled. From coordinating with our vendors, setting up decor, keeping the wedding on time, bustling my dress, making sure we had our signature drinks in hand, heating up chicken tenders for our late night snack :), the list goes on and on. We had a perfect day, and if there was anything that went astray we never knew about it.

We highly recommend Katie for anyone looking for coordinating or planning!

Katie was absolutely wonderful to work with. We originally had plans of a big wedding and early in that planning process we didn’t want the big wedding and decided that we wanted to have a small ceremony with close family and friends but we still didn’t want to miss out on some of the more traditional elements of a wedding, so her elopement package was perfect for us. She had great vendor recommendations and it felt so good knowing that I was working with someone she trusts to do a great job. My family has been raving about how beautiful it was, and me and my now husband will cherish this day for the rest of our lives. I got to soak in the day without worrying about the details, all thanks to Katie and her services!
