I booked an experience through a travel agent with Celebrated Experiences. Turns out it was through a company in London, Tally Ho Bikes, that I had been looking at booking directly. Celebrated Experiences charged us $1600 for a three hour, private biking tour. I could have booked the same three hour private tour for $400 if I booked directly. 4x markup is egregious and wrong in any world.

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic 3-week trip planned by Jonathan and his team. From our first conversation with Jonathan and Katie, we knew we were in good hands. We had some idea of the places we wanted to visit and things we wanted to see; they listened to us, asked questions, made suggestions, and put together an itinerary that was better than we hoped.

Because we were traveling to different cities (Belfast, Dublin, Killarney, Cong and Galway), Jonathan suggested a driver rather than self-driving, and he was so right! Having the pressure of driving removed gave us so much more freedom to explore the areas and enjoy the days. Also, the drivers did not just drive, they provided historical facts, made suggestions of out-of-the-way places to visit, knew the best local places for a pub lunch, the best place to buy a special gift, the place to stop for the best view/photos, etc.

The hotels Jonathan suggested were truly amazing. In each, we felt very special, and we are sure Jonathan’s connections made a huge difference. The Merchant in Belfast, the Shelbourne in Dublin, and the Killarney Park in Killarney were all wonderful; it is difficult to describe how nice it is to walk into a hotel and be greeted like an old friend! And Ashford Castle…there are not enough superlatives to describe this hotel…top notch service, magnificent rooms, excellent restaurants & bars, and an attitude that ‘nothing is too much to ask’.

We had too many outstanding experiences to list here, but some were: visiting the area of the ‘Troubles’ in Belfast, including the murals and Wall of Peace; tours of the Book of Kells and Kilmainham Jail in Dublin; Rock of Cashel; Dingle peninsula; the Hawk Walk and cruise at Ashford Castle; a day trip to the Aran Islands; sheepdog demonstration; Cliffs of Moher; and a food tour in Galway. Many of the activities we would not have known about had it not been for the suggestion of Jonathan and Katie.

Thanks, Jonathan and Katie for putting together one of the best vacations we have had. We cannot wait to return to Ireland!

Covid with $2200 deposit. The company has extended our
credit. However, our health circumstances have changed.
My husband has cancer and can not do European travel.
They refuse to return any of deposit. BEWARE, ANY deposit
with this company will not be returned, no exceptions.

Just got off the phone with Jonathan Epstein, CEO of Celebrated Experiences. What a rude, inconsiderate bully of a man. We had agreed to speak at 2:00 pm. When I didn't hear from him, I called and left a message. When he called me at ~2:30 and I calmly expressed my disappointment at his tardiness and told him that I am a very timely person and I expect the same from vendors I am working with, he got very loud and defensive. Very loud. We agreed that trying to design a vacation together would be impossible. Wow. He's in the service industry? Wow. Wow. Wow.
