Columbus Wine Walk event

Sounded like a fun idea, would have picked a different weekend rather than the week after the st. Patrick's day crawl.

The "exquisite wines" were a joke. If you like $5 aldi wine up to $20 a bottle wines. Then this is the wine tasting for you. The sample was about an ounce. For $45, I had higher expectations. Some places didn't even have any wine selection to choose from other than a sparkling white. Which is ironic, since it was "wine on high", you'd think they'd have the best selection to choose from.

Some places ran out of wine, the check in staff had no clue what was going on, would have been nice to know to use 2 tickets per the 6 locations with wine. Two additional stops only had coupons, rather than wine.

There were supposed to be snacks somewhere, nobody had any food. Most places didnt even have a trash can to throw your sample cup away. The swag bag was just a plastic cup and a few pieces of chocolate.

In the end, the sample was tiny, check in was a mess. Expectations were dashed. I had fun walking around with my small group regardless. I would not attend this event again.

Had a wonderful time at the Columbus Mimosa Crawl, thanks to Celebrity Style Events. The organization and execution were flawless. Definitely should have read these reviews before I signed up for the event! I bought tickets to the "Columbus Food and Wine Festival" - on the website there are various pictures of an outdoor festival with booths and vendors and promises of food, art, shopping, etc. Turns out it was a "wine walk" which included walking almost a mile between 6 establishments, several of which didn't seem to even know they were participating (one wasn't open b/c they didn't know what time they were supposed to be available). No one knew anything about the wines and they were pouring samples into the tiniest cup I've ever seen - like one swallow of wine total. You got 12 tickets so basically 12 sips of wine for the $35 ticket. No food anywhere in site. So the food and wine festival had no festival, no food and very little wine. During the last few weeks I tried various times to get more information on the event and could not get a hold of anyone until I finally got someone over Facebook who refused to answer my questions about what exactly the event would entail. Really disappointing as a food and wine festival downtown could have been great! I would not attend an event by this group again.

The mimosa crawl yesterday did not meet anyone’s expectations! There were no swag bags and the first bar wasn’t even open when the event started. There were only 4/5 bars on the crawl and they seemed very understaffed for the amount of people. You were given 12 tickets but I was able to use 1 because the wait to get a drink was 30+ minutes. We ended up going into other bars and buying drinks, however tickets for this event were $45! There’s another one of these in August - save your money - don’t go!
