Lisa and the Cherish the Day team were fantastic to work with. After every call or meeting we left with our questions answered, our vision understood, our minds at ease and even more excited for our wedding. Most of our vendors were recommendations from Lisa and they did a fantastic job collaborating with us. Not only was Lisa helpful in navigating the planning process, she was invaluable coordinating on the day of our wedding and never hesitated to go the extra mile to ensure everything went off without a snag. I had never thought to hire a wedding coordinator (I’m very type A and like to do things myself) but hiring Lisa after a friend’s suggestion was one of the BEST decisions ever!! She was super on top of things, was very responsive to all of my questions, and when we had issues with a vendor, she was there the whole time to help up find a resolution. Day of, her presence was invaluable! I think I was able to soak in my wedding day in a way that I wouldn’t have been able to without her. DEFINITELY worth the investment, even for type A people!!!!

When my daughter got engaged, we were feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of wedding planning. We found Lisa & Cherish the Day online, read all the great reviews and contacted her. She was prompt in returning our inquiry and very friendly and professional in an online consultation and we decided on her quickly as our wedding planner/coordinator. A wonderful decision! Lisa is very attentive to detail, knowledgeable about the wedding industry & vendors in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and had even worked weddings at our venue (Hotel Millwright in Amana) so knew the property and staff there (which was extremely helpful). She met with the bride & groom in person & online and was very attentive to emails/texts from them and me. She helped keep my daughter accountable for each step in the planning process so they didn't get behind in planning and kept in touch with our vendors and on top of our contract details. She brings many ideas to the table from weddings she's been part of in the past but also mainly wants to help execute the day to include your dreams and desires. One of the best things was the TIMELINE she put together to give to the wedding party to keep everyone on the same page and things running smoothly for makeup, hair, pictures, etc, on the wedding day. Lisa did a super job running the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she and her husband, Scott, were incredible - keeping things on time and they were ready to help with whatever issues came up with a smile. Lisa is able to take charge gracefully so you can relax and enjoy the day. She also brought an awesome bag of emergency items that was very helpful. We received many comments from the wedding party, family and guests about how smooth and non-stressful the wedding felt which was due to Lisa & Cherish the Day! My son has been in multiple weddings lately and said none were as well planned & executed as this one. I consider Lisa & Scott friends and would HIGHLY recommend Cherish the Day to anyone - they helped create a storybook wedding for my daughter and son-in-law!

We could not recommend Cherish the Day enough!! I’ve been raving to anyone who asks—and even those who don’t—about working with Lisa. I initially started looking for “Day Of” coordinators when Lisa presented her “Month Of” package. It was the perfect amount of help for someone who was willing to do all of the legwork of finding and selecting vendors and just wanted assistance with the communication and execution once it was closer to the wedding date. We met with Lisa over a year before the wedding just so we could talk about our vision for our wedding and to see what areas we might need help in. She gave vendor recommendations when needed and made sure I had checklists to stay on track with booking everything. With her experience, she asked us questions about things we didn’t even realize we need to consider and gave suggestions if we were struggling. The best part was that she handled all of the vendor communication in the month leading up to the wedding, and she built the most detailed timeline for us (bridal party and vendors) to follow. My goal was to have someone that any and all questions could be directed to so that I didn’t have to add any stress—Lisa was that person and so, so much more. Both Lisa and her assistant (there on the day of) are amazing to work with—so personal and professional at the same time and there every step of the day. Cherish the Day is truly one of the best investments we made for our wedding!!

Lisa and Cherish the Day should be the first vendor that you hire when planning a wedding! Lisa was recommended to me by one of my best friends right after I got engaged and she saved me from the stress and craziness of wedding planning. Lisa also helped us pick out some vendors with her recommendations, and every single recommendation of hers was just as fabulous as she is! She is so well organized, honest, friendly, and just the overall best. My husband and I were a postponed wedding as a result of the pandemic and Lisa quickly helped us change dates with her and made sure we worked to get all the other contracts with vendors amended. She was there the day of to make sure everything went as planned. I literally just had to be where she told me when she told me. It was so nice to not have to feel the stress of the day and truly be able to enjoy the moments. My number one piece of advice to all newly engaged couples would be to budget for a planner/coordinator and hire Cherish the Day! Thank you Lisa!

Lisa and Scott were literally THE BEST decision I made for my wedding! Lisa made sure everything was perfect leading up to the big day and they both ensured I didn’t have to worry about anything the day of! She has a list of vendors that she’s had great success with (so if you’re like me and completely overwhelmed with options, this is the PERFECT planner for you!). Words can not describe just how amazing Lisa was on our wedding day! I myself am a stickler for timelines and nothing makes me crazier than when things don’t run on time. I knew after our first initial Zoom call that Lisa was someone I could trust to keep the entire day running on track. Of course I couldn’t help myself and questioned things on our wedding day, but every time I asked Lisa a question she was two steps ahead of me and had it all taken care of! I can honestly say that I was not stressed at all the day of our wedding! I also received multiple compliments following the big day (from our officiant and my mother-in-law) on how wonderful Lisa was! I think the exact words were ‘your wedding planner was a BOSS’. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone!

My overall experience with Cherish the Day was amazing, and their name stood true to that as I was truly able to Cherish the Day due to Lisa and her Husband. Lisa was in our corner from booking through the day of. She kept in contact with us every few months to ensure the planning process was moving along and often asked if we needed assistance. Leading up to our wedding day, Lisa coordinated with all vendors, ensured they were aligned on arrival times and contract fulfillment. Lisa even created a day of timeline that helped our vendors, family and friends know what to expect for rehearsal and wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Lisa keep everyone calm and in order throughout the day. She was a huge part in ensuring we stayed on schedule for the photographer, the ceremony, and reception. She brought kindness and a relaxing environment to not only the bride and groom but also the bridal party, who often complimented her services. Lisa and her Husband were also key in making sure the bride and groom took private moments for themselves, were properly feed and hydrated, and remained calm & relaxed. I would highly recommend Cherish the Day services to anyone getting married, and looking for a day of coordinator. We debated getting a planner and coordinator but went with just the coordinator and it was perfect for our budget and needs. Their services are extremely affordable and worthy of all the praise.
