I saw a few negative reviews after Covid, so wanted to share my experience with CIE. We booked directly with CIE, and our booking also included a BOGO sale for the airfare. When Covid happened, our spring tour was canceled. CIE worked with us to get rebooked for the fall. That too was canceled, and the next spring also canceled. Covid messed up a lot of peoples lives! All this time, CIE kept us informed and kept rebooking us until we finally were able to take our tour when covid restrictions lifted for a fall tour for the "Best of Ireland South". As I recall, our group was the 2nd CIE tour in Ireland after the restrictions lifted. I've got nothing but praise for the teams at CIE for the great communication and effort to make our trip happen. With all the cancellations and rebooking's, they still honored our BOGO flight, and had no extra out-of-pocket charges. We've done 4 more trips with CIE, and after our experiences, I wouldn't travel with any other company as long as CIE is an available option. Every trip has exceeded my expectations. CIE Tours is THE BEST!

We had a wonderful “Taste of Ireland” tour with CIE Tours. Niall was our tour guide and he was not only personable and informative but very, very funny! He truly entertained us with his vast knowledge of Irish history but also with relatable modern day stories of interest. We saw so much of Ireland in a short time. All of the destinations were fun to visit and the hotel accommodations were excellent as were the restaurants. We would recommend CIE Tours.

My wife and I just returned from Ireland on a CIE Tour. The weather was beautiful and the country is amazing. Better yet, what made our tour exceptional was our tour guide “Brian.” We have been on many tours and by far this guide is one of the best !! He was so knowledgeable of the history of the country. I googled some of the things he said and he was spot on. He kept the group on the charter bus so engaged (told stories, sang, clean jokes, and we all laughed. When we arrived at each hotel, he kept YOU in mind and made everyone and everything so comfortable. He even stopped at a pharmacy and a bank for passengers that needed assistance. If you go on a tour with CIE to Ireland, make sure you request “Brian”, you will not go wrong and he was the icing on the cake to make this a wonderful experience and trip !!!!

My family and I went on a tour of Ireland in March of 2024. It was our first time out of the country and it was the most magical vacation we ever had! Brian was our tour guide and he was amazing! Very knowledgeable about Irish history and before each stop , he provided us with interesting facts and the history associated with it. At each hotel , he organized getting our bags up to our room . He planned meals and shopping for us , and we loved the small family shops we stopped at . He was funny and had a great sense of humor! Each site we visited was breathtaking and it was a trip of a lifetime. We could not imagine this trip with Brian! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I am a travel agent and sold CIE for years. They are a wonderful tour company with decades of experience and have consistently provided my clients with phenomenal experiences. I am leaving this review because I see a lot of disgruntled customers left negative reviews over refunds during Covid, which I do not feel is a fair representation of this awesome company. Tours were cancelled unexpectedly all around the world and EVERY tour company had issues refunding clients quickly. (Trust me, I know as I navigated all my clients through that horrible time.) Again, just wanted to share what a great company this is and that after 7 years in the industry, I still support them and sell them with confidence. I actually just recommended them today, which is why the reviews came up.

This would have been our third experience with CIE Tours. The first two took us to Scotland. Both were excellent in every way. This year's destination was Ireland, but we were forced to cancel 3 weeks prior to departure. This review is to recognize CIE and their immediate and issue-free response to our cancellation. I cancelled our reservation this morning, and received a refund (less penalties I was fully aware of) this evening. The individuals that served us so well, Ian McCarthy and Roisin Sisk, were accommodating and professional in every way. The high level of service we received from them will bring us back to CIE International Tours just as soon as we are ready to travel again.

We (my 84 year old parents, a 78 year old friend of theirs and myself) booked a small group tour of Ireland in September 2019 for an August 2020 tour. We all paid deposits, insurance on the trip and I paid about 2/3 of the trip on good faith. The pandemic hit and the trip was cancelled. AA gave us our money back, CIE reimbursed some of the money but refused to reimburse $500+ and instead gave us a travel coupon to use for a future trip that is only good for a YEAR. That's ridiculous when we paid our money in good faith. They should reimburse all the money. Don't use this company as they are not interested in being a good faith company.

My sisters my daughter and I took a private 10 day tour of Southern Ireland and also an ancestral search back in May. It was FANTASTIC! I used a travel agent to book everything and all was great. CIE planned all of the travel and all the hotels and activities according to our wants. The hotels were all beautiful and in great locations. BUT... what really made our trip was our guide, Ollie. This man could not do enough for us, and a great source of information, and a tremendous sense of humor which he needed driving the 4 of us around! Ollie made our trip extraordinary he went above and beyond trying to help us find records of our Grandmother and being sure that we saw everything we could possibly see in the time we were in Ireland. If you’re going to book a trip with CIE, ask for Ollie!
