I had a family member call to try and pay their late water bill over the phone. When explaining that her father died and he usually paid the water bill, she was met with a “I have grieved a loss before too, but still paid my bills” like remark. A simple “I’m so sorry about all of that, but I’m unable to take payments over the phone” would have sufficed. It was so rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional.

Why are property taxes so high, it's ridiculous in this small town, were paying like living in omaha or Des Moines in some rich neighborhood. No wonder why everybodys leaving this town.
