My son and his class mates had their trip ruined due to the transportation provided by this company. The buses were late, had no A/C on one or more…and to top it off they completely broke down once they arrived in DC. Our kids missed so many of their scheduled sites/museums/exhibits and food reservation's. They were stuck in their hotel rooms for a good portion of their trip. Luckily we have an amazing school district filled with teachers that went above and beyond to do as much as they could to salvage the trip. They were able to get our kids alternate transportation for a bit and to return home.

**Editing to say, the company did end up making it right after all the issues that happened on the trip. Hoping it was just an isolated incident for all.

This company was unable to provide transportation to our school district for the 8th grade Washington DC trip due to broken down buses causing the whole trip to be cancelled. The school spent months trying to raise money to lower the cost across the board for all students. The students spent months in anticipation of this trip. The day of the trip, parents dropped their already completely packed and ready to go children off at the school (having spent extra time and extra money in preparation for this trip), only for the children to sit at the school for 10.5 hours waiting for a solution to the issue of a broken down bus. At first, it took 5 hours to figure out that another bus had come in from a trip the day prior and only had to be cleaned (great! So why did it take 5 hours to figure that out?). Once that bus arrived 8 hours after the originally planned departure time, they loaded the first two buses, and then figured out that, no, the third, newly arrived, newly cleaned bus had mechanical issues as well. Due to serious safety concerns and missing out on so many activities already, the whole trip was cancelled. This was a serious disappointment to the 8th graders.
This company does not house their own buses. They outsource them from another company (If I knew that company’s name I would also give them the lowest possible review). However, the whole premise of this company’s business model is to take students on tours. They were unable to do this because of their poor decision making and poor business model. I understand that sometimes things are outside of one’s control, but they were completely unable to provide the service they advertised, thus earning 1 star. It should also be noted that at the exact same time, another school district was using this company’s services to attend a class Washington DC trip, and they became stranded in their hotel rooms due to 2 broken down buses. I do not recommend using this company for class trips as they have proven to be unreliable.
I will note, that we did receive a full refund. No extra stars will be given out for that, though.

After speaking to an employee TWICE in the same day, the Employee failed to forward my request to own. When I FINALLY reached the owner "Wayne" he told me he wouldn't give me any money back, even tho my son wasn't going. He then told me the "school" added him to as list allowing him to charge me instead or returning my money. He refused to return our money we paid when my son couldn't attend the trip. I wouldn't recommend anyone do "business". Once they get your money, they won't return it. When I asked why I couldn't get my money returned the owner told me he was "already losing money for this trip, I can't afford to refund you". In this case I don't believe they should be in business and have reported to BBB.

Good luck getting your money back from this company if your child cannot attend. Wayne is very rude and has no care or concern for his customers. He seriously needs to acquire some customer service skills. Only thing he cares about is the almighty dollar. Horrible company our school chose to use for their DC trip.

As a restaurant that works with Classic Student Tours for a number of years in the Washington DC area, working with Wayne and Jason has been an absolute pleasure. Furthermore, the interaction with the students has always been caring, attentive and fun. Most importantly, they are very vigilant about dietary needs.

Both our son and daughter went on this trip with classic student tours and loved the experience! We were able to meet with the owner Wayne as well as both Heather and Jason from Classic tours when we dropped off each of them and they were very nice and the tour was well run! Great job!!

Thank you Jim for getting our precious cargo to and from Washington D.C. All the 8th graders had nothing but high praise for him and enjoyed his soccer jokes. Amazing trip and memories had.
