Very fun and educational but is primarily aimed for toddlers or 2nd grades and below. Lots of hands on activity that kids could do and check out to learn stuff. Butterfly exhibit was nice as well though personally not an insects person. Didn't give a 5 star cause I went for myself and there wasn't much activities for teens or adults. Had a nice relaxing view at the very top in the garden.

Our experience overall was very positive. There were many diverse science activities that would interest children, teens, and adults. The exhibits ranged across disciplines of physics, chemistry, geology, and engineering. The staff were all very friendly and parking was convenient but did cost.

Such a fun and cute museum! This museum tailors more to kids but me and my boyfriend are big kids and had a great time! I also signed us up for the butterfly exhibit. I thought we would be able to have a guided experience but it was just a room for you to see the butterflies in their mock natural habitat.

Didn’t get the best of pictures because I was having way too much fun with all the interactive games, history, science, and such. You could easily spend hours there. There really is soo much to do at this museum and for a very affordable price. I would recommend this museum for all ages.

We are a young family and while my children loved the CT Science Center and it had a lot to offer- we were shocked at the massive LGBT+ display (over 8ft tall?) in October on the top floor that we had to walk by to get to the outdoor gardens. It was wildly inappropriate for a children's museum and had nothing to do with STEM or other science topics. Almost every child we saw that day was under the age of 10. Young kids should not have to walk by photos of men in drag lingerie, drawings of lynchings, stories about gay bars, and quotes about sexual encounters while visiting a kids science museum. Why are we exposing preschoolers and elementary school kids to that type of material?

Been here several times with my kids. It’s a fun place for kids of all ages, but especially for school age kids who are curious about learning new things. The building has a cool design and some spectacular views of the river. Each level has a different theme and the staff are always so courteous and helpful. The lady working at the monster drawing tables in the DNA/genetics side of the exhibit was so patient with each kid in explaining the same thing over and over. The staff at the ticketing area were also very helpful in explaining discounts that I never knew I qualified for. Kids and adults can easily spend hours here!

It was not what I expected. It was full and very noisy. The two main things I wanted to see were closed and they charge extra to enter like if the entrance isn’t enough! I wanted to enjoy the butterflies and get the galaxy room or whatever it’s called lol experience . I thought I was missing out on a whole lot but was quite disappointed with the outcome. The top was beautiful though and I also enjoyed the dinosaurs.
