My family is a fifth generation coming up to Lake Gregory. Our Patriarch built a cabin up here in the 1920's piece by piece and through the depression. Our son asked to go on the big slide and lake adventure slides for his bday. It was very thing to be with him enjoying this wonderful lake. They "chamber of commerce" have really put an effort to put some charm into the lakes look and it's working. Great advertising and the town is really ty coming back. It used to be a heaven for the famous and a get away for all. So thankful it is being revived. Still some work to do...but it's getting to become what it should be a heaven and cute town.

Our local, small town Chamber is involved in all the usual COC trappings but they also organize our Annual Crestline Jamboree Days (a summer community tradition that brings all the locals out in full force and of course tourists from all over the SoCal area) every year which features a firework funded through public donations. About as patriotic as it gets. Picture a small town community block party with vendors, live music and good company culminating in an amazing 15 -20min (typical in previous years) show with fireworks being deployed from the middle of the lake.. allowing for a perfect spot basically anywhere along the lakes edge. All the Summer 4th of July feels ♡

This is a good spot to start your walk around the lake. Park for free and walk on the trail down the hill to the lake.

Tourists Be Warned!!! Predatory Tow companies are contracted by the city of Crestline. There are shady tow truck drivers in these parts who have local scouts that will call in to tow your vehicle!!! DO NOT go to Lake Gregory!! It's their word against yours, even with a parking pass in your windshield.
