We had the opportunity/honor to visit the Danish Windmill in MAR_FY2025 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about Iowa's history and legacy.

We did a plant tour and for sure it's a remarkable building.

Definitely, it's a place that deserves my respect. It was a privilege. A little bit of Danish culture in USA

We were roadtripping thru IA in June of 2024 and stopped here. I found it on the Roadtrippers App because I would not have found it otherwise. Such a neat place, apparently the only of its kind in America and maybe IA's #1 attraction (depending on who you ask). We took the short tour up into the mill and we were able to stand out on the walkway. Great gift shop. I brought a model ship home from here to remember this trip. The lady working was so nice and helpful. Don't forgot to check out the grounds. There's a viking buildings, a 4 seater church and a tiny village. Also a nice place to get out and stretch your legs for an hour or so.

Stop here each year on our road trip to replenish my candle stock … please do not miss the tour it is well worth the visit. The film is very interesting and the tour is not very long The shop is well stocked with wonderful gifts. Lots of Danish goods, several Scandinavian choices. Beautiful candles. Wish the ornaments I collect for my tree were available in silver but they only have the gold option. If you are in the area DO stop by and spend some time…. Great little bakery shop just down the street 🙃

Took our family of 6 here for a total of $14.00 for all of us to get in. Inexpensive and so worth the experience! We had a blast and the ladies that gave the tour were amazing today! Lots of history and every one of our kids loved. Elementary age to high school. We all loved playing the axe throwing game too.

Charming place run by incredibly nice people. Just 5ish miles off the interstate. Really worth a stop, and probably a tour! I didn’t get to one this time around, however others were touring and it looked like fun. Overall a beautiful and picturesque place to stop and visit!

Fun and historic place to visit if you're going down the interstate!

We didn't have much time but did a quick tour and we're fascinated at how it was moved from Europe and reassembled. Nice gift shop and friendly staff!

Unique and fun shop just a few minutes off of I-80. They have so many novel food and decor items from Europe, especially from Denmark. Quite a pleasant surprise to find in rural Iowa. Worth a stop!
