Our little family did a tour with Guy and loved every minute! Our 4 year old giggled and laughed the entire time, it was such an enjoyable ride even in the cold! His family’s business and ranch immediately felt like home and he and his family were such a warm welcome to us during our time in the Wild West! Definitely would recommend! We loved this unforgettable experience!

My family and I had an amazing time. This was by far the best experience of our road trip. My youngest kids are 12 and 15 and they were both very comfortable with the horses. I can’t remember the Tour guide’s name but he was very friendly . I highly, HIGHLY recommend this amazing tour.

Book online via their website or pay by card or cash at their location. We showed up a little early to get to know the horses we chose to ride. We had a wonderful time before riding and on the trials with our guide, Louis, who was very pleasant and informative. Thank you D/D MTA Horse Tours and Louis for making our experience an amazing one! We highly recommend this experience to others visiting the area. And don't forget to bring cash to tip your guide.

The view and experience are the only reason I'm giving any stars. Management needs to consider more training for the check in person and the guide. To start, upon arrival we found a small building with the company name on it which was unoccupied and locked. We waited a while in the parking lot figuring they were late and then finally decided to go ask around and found another building with a different name on it and this was where to check in. (a sign on the first building would have been nice). The person checking us in was cold and unhelpful. The guide was a young girl and never introduced herself, asked if we had ever ridden a horse before or explained what we were going to do. We just kind of stood there until she waived us over. We walked over to where she was and she just stood there. We had to ask 'are we supposed to get on the horses now' and we got the first word from her, 'yes'. I'm only 5'4" and was not offered a step stool to get onto the horse, so my husband had to help me up (there was one there which we saw on the way back). There was never any instruction on how to ride, steer or stop the horse - she just started going and we were to follow. I can count on one hand the number of times I've ridden, so a refresher on the basics would have been nice. We booked the 90 minute tour and the whole way out there, she never said a word. I finally had enough and started asking her questions like her name, etc. Several times, the horses stopped to eat some bushes. I asked her if it was OK to let him do this, and she turned around and said 'probably not'. I'm like WTH, say something then!!! About half way there, I asked her if we could stop at some point so she could take a picture of us with our phone. She never replied, so I assumed she did not hear me, so I asked her a little louder and she snapped back 'I heard you'. I can honestly say, this was the worst experience I've had with a tour guide. Granted, she was young, but honestly she needed more training not just for the customer experience, but for safety as well. Rant over.

I didn't have a good experience with this tour company. We did the sunrise tour on Sept 13. Firstly, upon arrival, we were informed (2 couples) that the one-hour horseback ride that couple A had booked did not have a tour guide available. They were offered a two-hour ride instead, on the house.. couple A would be riding along with couple B.

Secondly, and most disappointing, the "tour guide" lacked knowledge about the area and provided minimal information unless specifically asked. This made the tour feel poorly organized and lacking in content. It's not worth the price we paid for it.

My daughters did a two hour ride and absolutely loved it. Their guide was very nice; she told them about the different monuments and the Navajo people. Would book again with them!

Wow! My group of 3 did the 6:30AM sunrise tour with Guy and it was unforgettable! Beautiful colors at that time in the morning. The horses were saddled up and ready to go, all looked very well taken care of and happy. Guy led us on a tour and taught us about the land, his lifestyle and his passion to provide for his large family. Locally owned and operated, THIS tour is who you should go with! Don’t forget to tip your guide and enjoy it as much as we did.
