Phil was a wonderful tour guide! He really helped us get our bearings on our first day in Yosemite and took us to the most incredible spots. He shared some interesting facts and recommendations. We were pleased that the group wasn’t too big and the bus was clean. Highly recommend! WE RIDE!

Grant was amazing! The tour was just perfect to see everything in one day. Snacks, water and lunch was provided. I was suprised that the lunch kit had more than just a sandwich. And even the sandwich was decent and big. I would say the tour is perfect for everyone, also if you are slightly handicapped cause the walking in 9hrs was just around 5000 steps. The mood in the group was perfect and Grants Storytelling a 12/10 - worth the money and highly recommend !!!

Good Tour.. We were there after the high season, so we could have drove ourselves into the park and found parking a various stops, but we liked the convenience of being picked up at our hotel not worrying about it. Our tour had every seat filled on our small bus, so you can't be Claustrophic or not like being around others. Our family sat in the very back seats, "Be Aware" that I didn't realized how windy the roads were so take some Dramamine if any family member may get car sick (It wouldn't have fun in my childhood days). I appreciated the restroom breaks and the snacks provided, since you get picked up early and we didn't have time to get breakfast that morning. The lunch that was provided was good and plenty. Our guide had plenty of information to share during the tour and we were lucky enough to see a bear that day! 🙂

I was disappointed with this tour company, and more specifically our guide. On a positive note, he was a skilled driver who handled the winding roads leading to and from Yosemite quite well. He also had a pleasant manner. But I found his “guiding” skills to be lacking. He did point out a few things along the route to the park and while in the park, but at times lacked knowledge in answering basic questions about the landscape or the park’s history, or said something incorrect (example: drawing our attention to the flowering trees which he identified as cottonwoods which were actually dogwoods). Meanwhile, I noticed that my fellow travelers on the “other” bus appeared to have a guide who was quite knowledgeable and engaged, carrying binder of information, maps and photos that he shared with them.

Regarding trail hiking, our driver simply dropped us off in two different spots in the park and then pointed to a couple of trails we could follow on our own. In other words, we weren’t guided at all on trails. So we essentially paid $200+ for a ride to and from the park with four stops in the park (two 1-2 hour drop-offs for trail hiking and two 15-30 min stops for views and picture taking).

There was one thing our driver pointed out while driving in the park: he let us know the area where fired Park Rangers, park staff and park enthusiasts had recently gathered to protest. Here’s what he said: “There were protesters over there with their Trump signs. But, at least they were fired in the winter when they were just sitting around getting paid to do nothing.” Little did he know that our group included a number of Federal, state and local government employees. His callous comment was not well received.

Two stars for the skilled driving.

We had a fantastic day! Starting with getting picked up on time in a modern clean vehicle with exceptionally clean windows (great for viewing through). Garret our tour guide was great, showed up some spectacular scenery. Giving us ample time to get out and take photos.
Lunch was simple but tasty and fresh.
It was a great way to see the highlights of Yosemite without having to drive and park for yourselves.
Garret had plenty of information on hand and was very keen to make sure everyone was happy. Thanks Garret!

Overall, the tour was great. Only drawback was not able to go up to Glacier Point due to possible icy conditions. Our tour guide was Chad who was very accommodating taking our pictures and videos (really helps he’s a pro photographer), and Chad had some historical knowledge outside of school curriculums, which I truly appreciated. Chad was open to back and forth Q&A.

We were a group of three on the tour. We all enjoyed the day immensely. Our driver, Phil, went over and above to make the tour enjoyable and educational. If we should ever return to Yosemite, we will definitely take the tour again and request that Phil be our driver. Please share our review with Phil.

We had a Blast. Grant is an awesome guide, a man that enjoys his job. If you have one day to get to know Yosemite, this is it. You won't be going up El Cap or the 1/2 dome anyway if you're reading this. Totally worth it, skip the parking situations, get to the greatest points and forget about the ticket fares and the lunch.
