I had the best time diving with Matt!! We saw a harbor seal, a big black sea bass, made our way through kelp forests and explored. Matt has a very easy and fun manner and helped put me at ease and feel confident in myself too.

Matt did an absolutely spectacular job guiding my party of 4 through three dives. He managed to show us some really awesome sights, like giant fish and massive bat rays, and he was very attentive to our concerns — cramps, low oxygen, getting lost. I would absolutely dive with him again, no questions asked!

Matt was amazing! Not only we saw giant black sea bass, big sheepshead, eels, Garibaldi, beautiful kelp….. but we went also hunting in between for lobster and got 3 great ones for tonight’s dinner ?! Simply amazing and unforgettable! . Matt was very conscious on the proper and legally allowed size of each ? ! ? % review all around! safe, sustainable, responsible and fun!

Had an amazing day with Matt! Total full service guiding, with a great site selection. Giant spiny lobsters and sea lions, got deep into the Winfield Scott wreck, and capped the day off with halibut, angel shark, bay ray, and thrilling rare siting of a torpedo ray. As a newer diver, it was exhilarating, and I also felt completely supported and safe. Thanks Matt and Dive Guides of Channel Islands!

I had an incredible experience on the Specter boat. Matt was our diving guide and he knew exactly where to find the giant sea bass, even pointing out some impressive California spiny lobsters. He was very patient, funny and ensured our safety in the water, and even helped me with my fins.
