Date of stay: 4/7/25||We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years prior to departing for a cruise. The first couple times we drove to the hotel and left our car in their parking lot. The times lately we flew into LAX and had transportation to the hotel.||When we left our car there it worked fine and was Free. Then after a couple years they started charging $10 a day. Now it is $25 a day – no valet, no covered parking, no security and the lot needs a lot of work. This is a busy hotel so they are taking in a large amount of money and offering nothing in return.||There is a small shop in the main lobby where you can buy snacks and such. They charge $6 for a bag of chips and $10 or more for a can of beer.||Their food is typically overpriced as at any resort. We tried Happy Hour a couple times instead. This last time we got a couple beers and an order of nachos. The nachos consisted of about 15 chips with cheese melted over the top and we caught sight of 2-3 pieces of tomato and onion. They were reasonable priced at $6 but for what you got the cost was still too much. Also, they automatically add a 20% gratuity to your bill. The room was chilly, there were cracks in the upholstery on many of the chairs and the furniture are in pathetic shape.||The check-in process was a disaster. Many people arrived early, often because that is when the flights get them in town. Several of them were there as early as 7 or 8 in the morning and they had to sit and wait all that time. Quite often they are elderly and often in wheel chairs. The day we checked in, there were people all over the place waiting. Why they aren’t put into rooms as soon as one is available made no sense to us. When we arrived there were no rooms available. We were told to come back at 3:30. Everybody else that arrived was told the same thing. Imagine the chaos when everyone swarms the front desk at 3:30 to check-in. We asked at 2 o’clock and got the same story. Does that means that at 2:00 no rooms are ready, but magically all the rooms are going to be ready then at 3:30? Past years the front desk used to go out of their way to help get people into their rooms as quickly as possible. The staff was friendly but not accommodating.||If you plan on using the fitness room, dress warmly as it is very cold in there.||Overall, it seems the hotel takes advantage of their cruise guests and all the others who stay there with their high prices and the knowledge that there are not any other options in walking distance. They have taken price gouging to a new level.||After we checked out I received the usual survey about my stay. I responded in great detail as I have outlined in the paragraphs above. I got back the typical form letter “we are so sorry we did not meet expectations….come back soon.” I even sent a follow up email to the Front Office Manager who had responded with the form letter asking why they didn’t address any of my concerns. As you might imagine there was no response there as well.||It is a nice hotel in a good location but be prepared to be taken advantage of.

I was spending a night here for a nearby wedding while it was also my birthday. I got upgraded to a marina view room with balcony which was lovely.|I also got to enjoy 2 hours by the pool which is in a surprisingly tropical setting for a chain hotel. Tons of palm trees making it feel like a mini vacation. |Staff was all around friendly and helpful. |Only downside was that they were supposed to have room service during breakfast but they did not. Make sure to call and ask about that if breakfast in bed or on balcony is on your wishlist.

We stayed here the night before our cruise and so glad we did! This is a beautiful place with the best staff! Every single person we encountered during our stay was friendly, helpful and so welcoming. The marina makes for a great walk and even better view from our room, which was large, clean and comfortable. We used the free shuttle to get to the port, which was so convenient. We had dinner at the restaurant, very good, and breakfast the next morning - even better (try the breakfast quesadilla!!). We will definitely stay here again.

I booked a Junior Suite with a marina view at this hotel for several reasons: 1) it offered a shuttle service to the cruise terminal, 2) there was an on-prem restaurant (2800 Kitchen & Lounge), and 3) a seafood restaurant was within walking distance.

I had a corner room with glass windows facing the marina, dining table, living room with sofa and two chairs, leading to a bedroom area and bathroom. The latter featured a walk-in shower and quartz-topped vanity. The hotel featured a restaurant and bar. I had breakfast there on the morning of departure.

2800 Kitchen & Lounge is small so there was a long line for breakfast. I ended up sitting at the bar in the lounge and got the All-American breakfast (pancakes, bacon, sausage, two eggs and potatoes) with coffee ($30.22).

This hotel appears to be “the cruise hotel” as I saw many people with luggage tags for cruise lines. The shuttle ran every 30 minutes, and it was a quick, 10-minute ride to the cruise terminal. I would stay here again should I take another cruise out of San Pedro.

Perfectly located on the way to San Diego, this hotel was a great stop during our coastal road trip. We really appreciated the free parking and the warm welcome from the friendly staff. The view over the harbor was beautiful and made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a lovely two-day break here and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling along the coast.

I liked the place. Very calm, not many people, only three-storey and with a beautiful view over marina. Rooms are not super modern, but in a good shape. Mattresses are good. Everything is clean. Though, corridors felt few times like they needed vacuum. Somewhat overpriced for the overall condition, but that comes from the location, obviously.
I would come back no problem.

We stayed here for a night before a cruise, like a lot of other reviewers. When we arrived, the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We got onto the list easily for the cruise shuttle the next morning. There was only one seat left on each of the two 10:00 shuttles, so hopefully my wife and I will end up at the same ship.||We got a marina-view room that had big windows and an amazing view of the boats. The room was clean ‘enough’. The carpet was iffy, so I just didn’t look very close. There were a lot of charging ports by the bedside. The shower had great water pressure and was nice and hot. The beds were comfy and they had a lot of pillows. The heat/AC unit is controlled by a remote control. It takes about 5 minutes to start blowing when the heat is turned on.||The location of the hotel is pretty isolated and there weren’t any restaurants within walking distance. We were stuck with Uber since the onsite restaurant was closed between lunch and dinner. The walk around the marina and park, close to the hotel, was relaxing.||The breakfast was fine but a bit pricey for what you get. Usual hotel restaurant prices.||They have a shuttle to take you around within five miles and will pick us up at the ship for a night’s stay upon our return to port.||All-in-all, it was a really nice stay and I am hoping our next stay, in 10 days, will be just as pleasant.

Staff were nice, the only reason not given 5 stars was that the bed was so uncomfortable my back hurt all night, and still hurts. We checked out this morning. I will say location is nice and wish they would of had thier breakfast buffet but I guess it's not every weekend. Also not happy bieng blindsided with the additional parking fee of $25.00 usually that's included in cost for room. So in all fairness this hotel is more like the dollar tree hotel.
