Mia met us promptly by our cruise ship.
The communication before the tour was easy. You pay after the tour.
Mia took us for a whole day on adventure. We stopped at may beautiful stops, had a choice to hike or not, to see waterfall or not, etc. We stopped for lunch if you want. Took many photos. Saw more than expected and enjoyed the day.
We were dropped off at the town as we asked for the better priced souvenirs.
We highly recommend this bus tour as you escape the crowds. It is very personal.

Perfect! We had a lovely day. We wanted to combine a driving tour with the White Pass train trip. Not a problem! I bought the train tickets and they picked them up at the station so I had my tickets in advance. Really good communication, solving all my questions and doubts. The driving part was fantastic, adapting to our likes! After the train ride, they offered to pick us up from the train stop to take us to our cruise but we wanted to walk around town. However, when we got to Skagway it was pouring rain. And there they were to take us back! Amazing service!

My wife and I took a tour 7 years ago with Dyea Dave and loved it. We did the bus tour up to Carcross, were dropped at Fraser and took the train back to Skagway, where Dave picked up my wife in his Nash Metropolitan and ran her to the Rushin' Tailor quilt shop before they closed (I caught up on foot). Great service, great pricing, and we learned so much about the area on the tour.

Fast forward 5 years to 2012. COVID changed things. The border still wasn't open so our only option was a round-trip train trip to the summit.

But last week, we returned. We weren't sure what we wanted to do in Skagway, but Frank was the BEST. I emailed him while we were in port in Juneau to let him know we'd be in Skagway the following day, to find out if we could book the bus trip / train combo again. He called me back RIGHT AWAY before we left port and lost service. He told me to go ahead and get the 3:25pm Fraser-Skagway train tickets, and they'd pick us up at the port at 8:00-8:15am to start the bus portion up to Carcross, and we could pay him at the end of the day. I booked the 2 tickets for my wife and daughter, who'd never been to Skagway before. When we got to Skagway at 6am, I logged in and got the email confirmation from the train for our tickets and forwarded it to Frank; our driver picked the tickets up for us before meeting us at the port!

They met the driver right by the ship and headed north. They stopped for lots of photos, saw a bear along the way, and had lunch in Carcross like my wife and I did 7 years ago. They also stopped at a musher camp to play with puppies ($5pp) and got to walk over the new suspension bridge ($12pp) along the way. The bus dropped them at the train depot for the ride back, then when they got out they called and were able to get a ride back to the ship from the train depot, and paid for the tour at that time ($95pp for the bus portion).

Whenever we're back in Skagway, Dyea Dave is who we'll continue to use. They run excellent tours, are a fountain of information, and are so super easy to work with. Frank was super responsive and helpful, and even make a run up to Carcross a few weeks ago to check on things personally and see what was open, what options we had to do stuff up there, etc. 100% great customer service.

Dave is simply amazing. He knows the history and the land- and boy can he tell a story. I first met him driving his little MG convertible wearing an authentic 19th century felted beaver top hat.
This guy lives his truth, loves his work, and runs the best tourist business in Skagway. I love to visit him every time I am there.
(I rarely give 5 stars).

We spent a day with Dave while visiting Skagway. The Emerald Lake tour was perfect for getting us out of town and into the gorgeous countryside of the Yukon. Dave knew all of the best stops for scenic photos and was good at wildlife sightings (bear!) during our day long journey. While in town he patiently waited for us and made sure we got into the NPS museum before kindly dropping us back at our cruise ship.

The tour was so good we did it again the next time we were in Skagway! Tour guides are excellent. They stop for several photo opportunities. We were there both times in September. Gorgeous scenery. Stopped at unique places for lunch. We did the Emerald Lake tour with Dyea Dave's on up into the Yukon. Beautiful. We would highly recommend doing this tour. They make it a great day in Alaska.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. We visited Alaska on our dream vacation! Rose our tour guide made it so much fun. The tour group was small and Rose did not rush us. We had plenty of photo ops and time to enjoy the scenery. I would highly recommend !
