The park is nice, but there are a few things that can improve. The lodge can be rented for private parties, which is great, but unfortunately, it closes the only restrooms in the park. We did find one walking path that was actually the shoulder of the road into the park. It is a nice park if you are planning an indoor or outdoor event. They have the lodge, as well as outdoor pavilions and playgrounds for the kids. For getting in touch with nature, find someplace else.

We were here for a Mehendi ceremony, and this location is phenomenal. Located on the Mississippi River, this place is located in true beauty, and looks amazing. The space inside is amazing, and the decor makes it feel as if you are in a true log cabin.

Love this park so much! Didn't see the sign to turn off lights lol but the xmas lights were old fashion and our family loved the experience!

Beautiful Lodge overlooking a bluff on the river. While we were enjoying the view a family of eagles was flying overhead. Great spot for eagle watching 😁

This venue has a GORGEOUS view of the river. That's about the only good thing this has that others don't, some of their policies, and especially how strict they are is pretty ridiculous.

That's annoying but I can deal with it.
Just make sure you read the policy very thoroughly before picking this location.

What I find completely unacceptable is the fact that they installed hard wood flooring directly on concrete, and if you understand moisture, materials, and construction you'll know that the wood absorbs water from the concrete. It's heavily warped throughout the entire lodge, to the point that if you choose to walk into this building, know that you are walking into a huge trip hazard.

Luckily nobody fell over, but I saw and experienced multiple close calls. (One section of the floor I noticed is about 3 inches lower than 'most' of the rest of the floor, and 5 inches lower than the highest bowed section). Will continue this if I remember. 🙂
