I visited this place yesterday morning to drop off a small box of food to donate, I don’t know if it was the beautiful morning or the extremely helpful volunteers doing yard work outside that filled me with a sense of peace & almost like I belonged here... I had never been here before, I’ve lived here in Enfield for almost 2 years now yet this place is literally 2 minutes from my house! The volunteers directed me to where I could bring my box of food, inside I met a very kind, compassionate woman who thanked me for my donation and told me if I am ever in need of food to please come back. I felt the need to get to know her so I asked her a few questions. Still feeling at peace and happy to be there, I thanked her for thanking me, and I left. I will go back again to donate food or my time if they’ll have me. Please take a few minutes of your day to bring Loaves & Fishes your extra food or maybe your spare time to help out. Because that feeling of peace, belonging and contentment can only be obtained when we give, but give freely of ourselves and ask or expect nothing in return. 🦋

Loaves and Fishes is a Godsend to the local community. They help out many people that are in need of good nutrition. Many local business donate excess food instead of tossing it into the dumpster. They provide good food without asking for anything in return. Our country (and world) would be a much better place if there were more people with the same compassion of these folks.

It's extraordinary when a charity staple of a community can reinvent themselves while enhancing the experience given to their patrons. What's changed? They have a new space, better visibility, improved parking, better access, cleaned up yard space and a talented, bright, vibrant director who has intricate knowledge of the Town and community. These have all been excellent and exciting improvements for a longstanding Enfield community necessity.

Such a wonderful service for the community, God bless all the workers, volunteers and donors, especially the most amazing director, Maya Nicole. Enfield Loaves and Fishes is an organization with serious integrity, rejects bigotry and hate and is here to help those in need. The Director, Maya Nicole, does a phenomenal job at running the soup kitchen and always supports their amazing mission. Please support Enfield and Fishes!!!

This is a wonderful place run by a wonderful staff. Unfortunately the hate group, The Proud Boys, have decided that this place is a target and are trying to destroy a community kitchen. The amazing person in charge is a woman and a POC so it’s not a surprise they’ve decided to target her but please consider supporting and donating. They’re doing amazing things.
