I just left there after spending 10 months as a volunteer. The first 4 months I received zero pay and was not provided food and was told to eat rotten food that was from 2013 in a school bus. The pictures are misleading as the trout pond is currently empty and devoid of fish and the spigots ALL spew red rust at first and sand from the 4 inch main pipe break coming off the 10000 gallon tank. I was not allowed to fix it even thou the sleeve to do so had arrived. The negative reinforcement and continuous threats left me with PTSD. This is a warning to anyone thinking about volunteering there....save yourself and your soul from this degraded place. ALL the gas tools are broken and you are told to figure it out and make do with what's there. I had no where to go and she knew that and abused that. She tells you one thing on the phone all nice and caring and once in Charlotte's Web she does a 360 and treats people with under lack of any decency. She bought cattle prods to zap the volunteers that were unruly but none of the staff would even consider such an atrocity to another human being. I watched many many people come and realize that they had been bamboozled. This is the nice review because I wont go there to the darkness that eminated from there. Have a blessed day and stay away!

I understand that experiences are different for everyone but I was a little worried about some of these negative reviews. I spent 4 days and 3 nights here and even though it rained almost all weekend, we still had tons of fun. I stayed in RV spot 7 and I had plenty of space for my 25โ€™ trailer and a large tent. I like the built-in decks on each site, water pressure was excellent and power was not an issue. The farm was cool and the two waterfall hikes were not difficult and provided a nice scenery. The town of Helen is 20 minutes away and there is another waterfall hike nearby, about a 10 minutes drive. The entrance to the campground needs a little work but nothing that ruins the experience, the front desk girl, Lauren, was a sweetheart, a pleasure to talk to and full of advise. They held a bonfire and have different activities throughout the day and night like feeding the animals in the farm. The handiman would drive around several times a day and seem attentive and friendly. Overall, this is a great campground, a little on the expensive side but thereโ€™s plenty to do in the campground and the surrounding areas. Iโ€™m going to book another trip here next year and see the rest of the stuff I missed.

The one negative I got from this place but not enough to remove a star is the owner should be nicer to her employees, no need to be rude to them in front of the customers. The owner was nice to us though.

We love Enota! We have gone two summers a row and are probably going back at Christmas. It so beautiful and peaceful. We love that we can park our RV right next to the stream and sit out by a fire and listen to the water. You can walk around and enjoy the beauty and hiking up to the waterfall is beautiful. The family thoroughly enjoys the farm and we love the friendly animals which are cows, lots of goats, ponies and we especially love the pig Henrietta! There are also some friendly cats on the property. We would visit the farm every day. The drive into Enota is not bad at all like some have said. We have a very large RV and tow a Jeep behind it and we have never had any problems. Our youngest son loves the trampolines and likes to get in the stream in certain areas. The town of Helen is not too far away and itโ€™s a nice place to shop and eat. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, beautiful camping experience this is a great place!

Our first trip to Enota Mountain Retreat was nothing short of amazing. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed for the entirety of our stay. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the trampolines and the farm animals. The cabin was very comfortable. I loved that we were able to enjoy the peaceful stream by sitting on our deck and the scenic views within the campground were breathtaking. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent getaway. Just got back from 3 days and nights here and had an incredible time. There are a few things that need repair, but the bathrooms are clean and warm, the campgrounds are clean and the people who run and take care of the place are incredibly hospitable. I canโ€™t remember all their names, but the families tending to the grounds and the farm are awesome. They showed us around the farm and it was quickly apparent that they are good people.
We hope to return and see them and this place again.

Enota was great very nice people and the scenery with the laurel in bloom is breathtaking. The campsites are mostly placed around streams that run constantly. Great sleeping. The campground itself could use a good sprucing up a pressure washer would go a long way if they cannot replace things. We could see that the place was once the go to place for day camps etc. When we checked in we were the only ones there and the owners bent over backwards making sure we were happy. They checked on us a couple times during the week to make sure all was well. We cannot wait to go back.

Enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage. The cow was a favorite. The ducks in the trout pond were so cute. The bathhouse was mostly clean. Hot water would have been nice. The price for no water/no electricity is extremely high in comparison to other local sites.
I give Enota Mountain Retreat 3 stars for 3 reasons:
1st - the price doesn't match with the value
2nd - no hot water in the shower or sinks
3rd - there is no monitoring after hours

Unfortunately, campers staying at a nearby site were completely inebriated. They played loud music, yelled, screamed and were obnoxiously annoying from quiet time 11pm to 4am.
This made our experience less enjoyable than we had hoped.

We let the owner know that we decided to not submit ourselves to another night of drunken obnoxiousness. She was kind and she addressed the situation.

Ultimately, the right answer would be to refund the price of the night we didn't stay.

This place is not just a gem, but a sanctuary. Primitive, but not. We have a 42ft 5th wheel and had no problems at all. Level concrete pads were a plus. The owner was very accommodating. We stayed a total of 10 days to watch the beautiful trees change colors. You are surrounded by forest. Huge waterfalls you can easily hike to. They have a small farm with a cows, goats, and some mini horses. Great hikes on the property. I can't say enough about how amazing this place is. We plan on coming back next spring to see the leaves come back and everything geen again. Thank you Enota for the wonderful escape.
