Dana is an absolute gem. She is very knowledgeable and tailors her recommendations to what your skin needs. I always leave Ethical Esthetics glowing and refreshed. A few visits ago I arrived feeling chaotic and realized the drink I grabbed on my way over was an energy drink on top of the coffee I had an hour before. Within minutes of being on the heated table I was relaxed and my mind clear and calm. Dana has created a space with obvious intention that is both cozy and serene. You would be doing yourself a disservice not to book with Dana. I highly recommend!

Simply put, Dana is amazing. I’ve never experienced a facial like the one Dana provided. Truly one of the best experiences of my life. From her warm reception at the front desk to her thorough consultation before she started my service, her customer service is top notch. Dana is a miracle worker with her hands. Every single move she makes during your service is thoroughly thought through and intentional. I was fighting back a smile the whole time because I was genuinely so happy and cared for and relaxed. Upon checking out and expressing my deep gratitude to Dana I felt tears fall from my eyes, I didn’t even know I was crying, I was just genuinely so relaxed and grateful for the experience. Dana, you deserve every good thing in life. Thank you for being you and taking care of your customers with such intention. You are sincerely appreciated.

Love love love Dana and her shop! She is so knowledgable and confident in her services. The shop is cozy and comfortable with ambient lighting. I feel lucky that she is located so close to my home.. but she is ABSOLUTELY worth the drive if you have to come from across town.

I was experiencing a skin issue that was new for me & my skincare products and routine just weren’t working in this season of life. Instead of my own trial and error I went to Dana for some skin recovery and expert guidance. I am about 2 weeks out from my first facial and a new low maintenance routine and my skin is glowing again! Her skincare routine suggestions while low maintainence were also affordable.

I have gotten a few "higher end" facials around pittsburgh and no one touches Dana's. The energy as soon as you walk in is welcoming and tranquil. You can tell she puts her heart in her business 100% and you can see and feel that by the time you leave. If you are looking for someone with intention behind every service and every touch and not someone just going through the motions and trying to up-sell you the whole time, this is your spot! I won't go anywhere else after today. Can not recommend enough. Do yourself the favor and book the appointment!

I’ve had several friends visit Dana and rave about the experience, so after the new year, when life had me feeling not so great and I really needed a lift, I decided to treat myself to one of her winter facial specials. “The Glacial” winter glow revival facial included an herbal steam, double cleanse, facial massage, dermaplane and snow algae face mask. It all added up to one of the most wonderful self-care experiences I have had, and the way my skin glowed afterward — and has continued glowing and looking improved overall in the days since — far exceeded my expectations.

Beyond the results, though, I have to talk about how wonderful the experience is from the moment you walk in. Dana opens the waiting room 10 minutes before your appointment time so you can fill out basic paperwork regarding your medical history and skin goals. Then you talk to make sure you’re on the same page. The session itself starts and ends with a short deep breathing exercise, helping you center yourself and focus. Everything felt so blissful and relaxing that I drifted off several times, and kept having to bring myself back from the mini dreams I was slipping into as I didn’t want to miss the experience! The facial massage especially was wonderful, and a helpful starting point toward my skin goals.

I think what I most appreciated is that when we discussed my typical skin care routine, which is incredibly low maintenance and a bit directionless right now, Dana could not have been kinder or more judgment free. She didn’t push any products and gave me a sample to start out with, which I’m applying morning and night alongside one other product I’m using. Her other advice was to wake up and hydrate my skin in the morning with a splash of cold water. Seriously, free cold water. What a refreshing change from many estheticians; you genuinely get the feeling she cares. This is a gem of a small business, and I will absolutely be back to continue working with her.
