Have you ever had to clean your own hotel room before? When we checked in the room smelled of a strong chemical substance. Strong enough to trigger a migraine. I had to go to the store and buy my own cleaning supplies, and scrub the walls, surface areas, and bathroom. We complained at the front desk but we were only offered a room with separate beds. My fiancee deserved better. Don't be fooled by their complementary breakfast either. Those prepackaged dry muffins weren't worth .10 cents. Run.....

I spend a lot of time in hotels. Generally travel 40 out of the 52 weeks each year, and stay in all kinds of places. Extended Stay America is one of my go-to places, and this one has not let me down. It is very quiet, the beds comfortable bathroom is clean. All around good value. 👍

Extended Stay isn't anywhere close to a fancy hotel, but the location is convenient & it's relatively cheap to stay here. The staff are very friendly & there's plenty of parking on-site. The room had a kitchenette with a full-sized fridge/freezer, stove top, & microwave. There are no dishes or silverware in the room, so you have to go to the front desk to request them. Our room wasn't very clean. The kitchenette counter was sticky & some of our towels had hair wrapped up in them. The grab & go breakfast isn't anything special, but it's free. They offer coffee, tea, oatmeal, packaged muffins, & granola bars.

From the service to cleanliness, this hotel deserves zero stars. This was the filthiest hotel our family has ever stayed in. The bathroom was disgusting, there was trash under our beds. The entire hotel smelled like smoke - the hallways, elevators, and the room. The woman working the front desk acted like we were bothering her when we checked in - she appeared to be sleeping. When we checked out, there was a literal child (looked to be 12-13 years old) "working" the front desk.

I have had great experiences at other Extended Stay properties throughout my travels but I was very disappointed with my experience in Meriden, CT.

When I arrived to check-in I was informed that the system was down and the Wi-Fi would not work until I was actually checked in. As a busy professional I rely on the internet for my business, but ok I can move around some things and make it work.

I got up to my room and awaited a call for the system to come back online and the room was very dated and the shower curtain was barely hanging on by a thread. There were big dents on the refrigerator and the air conditioning as was on (in the middle of November). The desk chair was also extremely small and uncomfortable.

I decided to leave and stay at another property where I am currently writing this review after finishing some last minute work.

I have stayed at this location before but this time everything was awful. you literally start in a room with NOTHING; you have to go down to the desk to request anything from one fork to a washcloth. There was an oder throughout the second floor that never got any better...... the electrical socket kept shorting out during the night so our cellphone wouldn't be charged when we woke in the morning. I don't know if management changed or what happened but I was extremely disappointed the entire week.

There was a fuzzy old peach pit in the middle of the floor. The room had an old musty smell. The bathroom sink leaked. The curtains had holes in them so it looked like a starry night in the room at night with the lights coming in thru the holes. Beds weren’t bad. It’s kind of tucked behind a highway and an apartment complex. You have room go to the front desk to get the dishes and they give them to you in a plastic container.

This was a horrible experience. The hallways were dirty. My room had an awful smell to it. The furniture was very outdated. The refrigerator looked like it was picked up from the side of the road. The bathtub was dirty. People live here so they hang out in the hallways I was very uncomfortable. How is this place still in business. Never again, I rather sleep in my car than stay here. Do not waste your money here. Run.........
