I've been a resident at the Norwalk location for approximately 1 year and I can safely say that Tiara Thomas(General Manager) and her staff here are by far the best in the travel industry.

Tiara works tirelessly to make sure every guest has exactly what they need and is well taken care of. And she's the most efficient General Manager in the business.

I can honestly say that I have nothing negative to say about this hotel or the people that work here.

We mostly use our own linens so he housekeeper left clean linen the other day. So I placed the dirty linen outside the door along with my trash and empty plastic bottles. This is very common at hilton hotels. The front desk person knocked on the door told me you can't leave them laying on the floor I said okay then she continued very rudely telling me there was a trash can under the sink and I could find extra bags under there to put it in the bag, i grinned and grabbed a bag i got locked out of the room when I was putting the linens into a bag so I started calling for the worker. There were several doors open.I was not sure which one she went in. She came back to let me in the room when I told her that it was not necessary for her to be rude to me. She made a few comments and I repeated myself that it was not necessary to be rude. At which time she stated I didn't mean to be. I apologize if it came out that way. She walked away. I finished moving the bag of linens in the hallway. When a gentleman came out from the stairs and started yelling at me to put it back and not move it to stop being rude to the nice employee. I'm not sure what he heard or where he came from. It's possible the employee said something to him. As they passed in the stairway, but I asked him what he was talking about and asked him to leave me alone. He continued to yell at me when he finally walked away. I saw that he was in Room 230. At this point I went to the front desk to talk to the manager.||She had a very combative look on her face and said WHAT I explain to her the situation, she said. I've heard your complaint now. Go away. I said, are you going to do something about the man that was harassing me, she said, nope. I don't care. She is a nice person he was defending my staff. I said, we can leave the hotel She said, go ahead please that will make my life easier.

Imagine leaving a domestic violence situation with your 4 year old son (who is on the spectrum) only to be treated horribly by the manager and front desk staff here! My DV counselor booked my son and I a room for a week here. I only had the paper duplicate form of my ID, because the physical copy was destroyed by my abuser. I explained my situation to the woman at the front desk. The paper duplicate was still scannable however she had such attitude and was visibly angered by my son who again is on the spectrum and moves around a lot. He wasn’t destroying anything or being loud he just kept touching the cards that were on the counter. She snatched them out of his hand rolled her eyes at him and told him don’t touch anything in the meanest way. I asked to not to speak to my child like that and she told me if I was being a mother she wouldn’t have to. She then went and got her manager who was even worse than she was. The manager scolded me and was yelling at me to the top of her lungs right in the lobby in front of my child, almost making fun of my situation! I recorded the entire encounter but I am unable to post the video in this review so I will post a picture from the video. The manager was absolutely horrible and when I called my DV counselor to contact them the manager lied and was giving me dirty looks while she was on the phone with my counselor. My son kept saying he had to use the bathroom and they waited until he almost wet himself to unlock the bathroom door in the lobby. This was so embarrassing, frustrating and unbelievable. These two women should not be working there

Really horrible stay I cannot recommend against it enough. We were unable to check in until the evening of our check in date because our room wasn't ready, and then the room we received was not the type we had reserved (it was a downgrade). None of the front desk staff I spoke to seemed remotely interested in/capable of assisting. Although the room seemed basically clean the whole place is extremely shabby and poorly soundproofed. I slept in my car because it was a better experience than that awful noisy room.

Extended Stay, Norwalk, Connecticut

If you’re looking for a family-friendly place, do not stay here. From the moment you walk in, the strong smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke hits you — it’s far from acceptable. The entire facility felt unclean, with visible dirt and neglected areas. The mattress was uncomfortable to the point where you could feel the springs poking through, making it nearly impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. Don’t be fooled by the mention of breakfast; it’s not what you’d expect. It’s a sad excuse for a “breakfast bar” with a couple of granola bars and old coffee that tastes stale. This stay was disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone, especially families.

Positive: "" Negative: The shower was filthy. The soap holder had soap scum build up. The shower floor was so dirty I had to put a towel down to stand on. The drawers in the kitchenette were dirty and there were bits of food or something in them.

This hotel is unsafe. The manager is on a power trip and screams at customers. All the time. There is drug use and drinking in the parking lot nightly.
And ladies beware, these men are scary. A guest harassed me and when I told management, she said, I don't care.

Positive: Absolutely nothing, They clean the room every 8 days so we were told. The continental breakfast was disappointing and the manager was the worst of all. Please do not patronize this hotel because you will be deeply disappointed. Negative: It was filthy and the manager at Norwalk was extremely disrespectful and rude. We had to ask for towels everyday we were there. I will stay clear of any hotel called extended stay America.
