My three kiddos and I came to Tehachapi for a little getaway before school started. The room was big and clean although the carpet was pretty filthy. After my youngest spilt some water we soaked it up but the towel picked up all the dirt in the floor. Eww

We had 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. The sleeper was really tiny even for my two little ones. The TV for some reason would not get the cartoon network channel. The pool was indoors which was the selling point for us. It was a great temperature but the tile definitely needed to be cleaned.

Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. The breakfast was a huge hit for my kids. Waffles for the win! The sweetheart preparing the breakfast was so kind to my disabled son. She told me she had a daughter with DS who was in heaven. She was such a joy to encounter. Hugs mama!

The nearly $200 a night price was really high but overall it was comparable to the other local hotels.

I stayed here for 61 nights and loved every night. These would be 3 or 2 nights here and there. I used my points for apple fest. Paid $100.00 deposit..was ready for a fun family weekend. Upon checking out it seemed like they couldn't find my deposit. They looked and looked. They couldn't find it. Then the lady goes up stairs for a second and keeps my deposit for evidence of smoking. There was no smoking and the only evidence was a pack of full cigarettes. Kids were in the room all weekend knowone smoked there was 0 evidence of smoking but the pack of cigarettes thar a friend smoked outside cost me my deposit. 6 people went up to Abigal the manager and and told her she was wrong knowone smoked in the room and she was making a mistake. Her own stubbornness and pride unfortunatly wouldn't let her come to the correct decision and she stoll the $100.00 she lost. My advice is to stay away from a place that can make up lies with no proof and run with it. The worst part is she knew she was wrong and still did this. If there was no evidence of smoking on the 60 other nights... then why would there be today. I asked if she could show me the proof... she said she submitted it whatever that means.

Decent hotel but expensive. I guess $200 for one night in a basic decent hotel is the new normal. Pool is small. WiFi is not actually free because it requires becoming a Marriott Bonvoy member. Anything that requires creating a new account to use is not free in my book. Breakfast was passable. Room was nice enough. Quiet at night.

Being a Marriott lifetime Titanium Elite member, I have stayed at lots of Marriott properties. Most have a 24 hour cancellation policy. This one has a 48 hour policy. My husband was too ill to travel, and I cancelled 26 hours before check in time. The hotel charged me $148, and refused to waive the fee, even though I am able to make the trip at this time. The Marriott Elite customer support was unable or unwilling to help. So I am staying at a Wyndham in Tehachapi this week. It is less money, same number of stars, and they have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Do your self a favor and pitch a tent. They refuse to clean rooms or replace linens and they never pick up the phone. I called while watching the front desk ignore my call. Rooms are tiny and it’s been 110 this week and the AC can only get to about 75

We elected to stay at Fairfield Inn after experiencing a nightmare accomodation at the TownPlace across the freeway. We will continue to stay at Fairfield Inn and Suites in Tehachapi when we travel to the coast. The hotel, hallway and our "suite" was EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN, smelled of bleach and freshly sanitized. It was much larger than the TownPlace "suite" we were assigned in Tehachapi and our shower at Fairfield Inn was HOT and our breakfast in the morning was HOT with staff in attendance to keep the counter clean, tables clean and trash emptied.
