We reached out to family solutions looking for a counselor to see our daughter for a child custody suit.

I was 4 weeks out from court and I was told by our lawyer to have a counselor write a letter to the Judge that it would be in her best interest to not go to the other home unsupervised.

They told us to make an appointment and come see them. We drove 1 hr and 30 min to meet with them. In the interview process I made it very clear why we where there and this would only continue till she got her letter. The councilor told us she would need to see her more than once to make a recommendation.

A week after that and 2 weeks from court I asked her councilor how many more times would we need to come and she tells me "oh we don't write letters for court". I said are you kidding me? Then why are we here? You have waistedmy time not only here but the 3 hr round trips and I don't have anything for our court.

So we left and never returned.

Since then I continue to get a bill in the mail for $301. Maybe I'm wrong here but I'm not sure how I should be responsible to pay for something I was lied to about and did NOTHING for us but cost us money and waist our time.

Until I get an apology and told we don't owe them money this review will remain up.

I can't really speak for the in office therapy of FSS yet, but the company as a whole has been amazing to my family. The BHIS workers have been such a huge support to my children, particularly Darienne. I cannot speak enough about her. Darienne is calm, kind, she is creative, fun, easy to work with, and she is always bringing new ideas on how to engage with the kids so that they can make it through their appt without getting too distracted. I love that Darienne not only works with my kids on their long term goals, but she can sense when something more immediate needs attention with them and will help them through that as well. She is great with appealing to each of my kids individual likes, and learning styles. For example, I have one child who loves art, drawing, etc so as she works with her, they often draw and Darienne has noticed a difference in the type of art she draws based on her mood. How amazing.. With my other child, she will play games like Jenga, where she has written questions on the Jenga pieces (How fun right?). My third child loves animals, and being cuddled, she really wasn't the best with fine motor for the longest time, but Darienne would draw her pictures of animals or show her pictures of her cats.

Sorry for the super long review, but we have had a couple BHIS worker from Family Solutions Services to help with some of my kids behaviors, and they have all been ALMOST equally as amazing. It would be VERY hard for me to believe that this company would hire therapists that are not also equally as amazing. <3

Our family was lied to and waisted our time. My sister needed court papers and this place told us we would get them and then after going and seeing them more than once they tell us they don't do that.

Then sent us a bill for $301. For doing nothing but lying and waisting our time.
