Amazing small town bank that actually cares about the customers. Disregard any bad review. This bank is low risk, so no they won't give you a bunch of bad credit card loans or stuff like that. It's a conservative home town bank that provides AMAZING value like being able to get a new debit card printed by going to the bank in person and NOT waiting 1-2 weeks for "mega corp" bank to send you a new card. The people that work here don't turn over often so it's the same faces each time you come in and nothing short of amazing customer service. Total 5 star situation here and NOT mega corp. What more can you ask for in a banking relationship?

I am usually a credit union type person, I have been going to credit unions for over 20 years. Recently got an account at this Bank, I was interested in the FDIC aspect. Long story short, I went to the Bank that my direct deposit is in, and I asked for a large lump of cash 2000, they told me that they couldn't do it because they didn't have money. I got a check written out to me from that bank account and planned on putting it into my account here and withdrawing half. I was told that they were going to hold it for 24 hours. Credit Union would have never. To make matters worse, I asked for a bank statement for legal purposes. They don't mail my bank statement and for whatever reason I could not print it from my app. So this male clerk/manager printed a generic statement that did not include so much my name or address and thought that would be good enough. I kindly explained it wasn't enough, he gave me a rude look the whole time. I wasn't going to argue, surely there was a manager in one of the offices that could have at least got me a decent statement. I got, I am the manager.... Please stop glorifying your clerks with the title manager. He later explained that I couldn't print from the app and that I had to use my computer to print a statements. I don't know why he waited so long to tell me how I could get my statement, or why he couldn't print it up himself. I don't know why his attitude was needed. Feel like my check was more than his monthly income and that is why I got so much attitude, not sure. I might have to bank at a different location, shame because the women there were so helpful and nice. Edit: Just went on my computer, because I cant access my statement on my phone, never heard of this. Never had a problem getting statements from a credit union, anyways the code was not sent to my phone, I've tried multiple times. Banks are good business for Credit Unions.

Great bank to be involved with but probably the worst bank app ever, makes you change your password every 2 months and you can't use any of your last 10 passwords. Who has 100 different passwords? Will probably change banks soon over it as I like to check my balance often and it is constantly asking for text to confirm and forcing you to go to their website to login. Hopefully it is fixed, the former app was great idk why they switched to this one it's been horrible since day 1.

Hands down the best interactions I’ve ever had with a bank. As many others have stated in these reviews, you’re not just a number nor does you get lost in the shuffle. The staff remembers your name and they are all incredibly friendly and professional.

I had the pleasure of getting loan from this bank and from start to finish, Daniel Yoder was miles ahead of all other banks I have worked with. This was hands down the most smooth dealings I’ve ever had; from collecting the documents to prequalify to closing, Daniel was upfront, helpful, and always responded promptly to e-mails and calls.

Highly recommend and I have become a client for as long as I’m around and their doors are open!

Tellers are always super friendly and helpful, they're the best, but the loan dept. Seems to really discourage small business and the self employed even for long standing customers, it's a shame that a customer and business owner of many years can't use their hometown bank to obtain a small auto loan, because they're self employed, it was definitely a degrading and humiliating experience from a bank I thought I could count on, the self employed might want to avoid this bank

I would highly recommend this bank. I have been a customer for 41 years which is hard to believe...they offer outstanding customer service. It it amazing to be able to call a bank and get an answer with one call...outstanding bookkeeping dept and good honest folks. Proud to say there my hometown bank.

I use this place for the free checking...the staff is always so nice and they get to know who you are after a while. It feels like stepping back in to time a bit. So much nicer than feeling like a number in the big corporate banks. Their online banking underwent a major overhaul recently. It is really nice too.

I have been banking and lending through F&M for over a decade. Long story short, two deciding factors drew me to F&M. First, I had a home run deal that every other big type bank wanted the tires off my car, my wifes wedding ring etc. I engaged F&M and the deal was done quicker then ever imagined. Secondly, I came into a large amount of cash shortly after joining F&M and the big box bank called me what seemed like daily wanting me to invest it in their portfolio. So much so that I decided I wanted to leave. When I decided, I left the big box bank with a sizable amount of cash and not one person asked why. Community banks are where it's at!
