Counselors and psychiatrists dehumanize their patients, twisting their words (for example, "I've had suicidal thoughts before." turns into "I'm actively suicidal and have a plan.") and involuntary hospitalizing them for standing up for themselves (for example, telling your psychiatrist about wanting to discontinue medication due to bad experiences on them or not needing them in the first place and, instead of respecting your wishes and helping you do it safely, hospitalize you because A) they don't want to lose money and B) they think they know you better than you know yourself because they went to med school). I highly suggest going elsewhere, unless you want to end up with psychological trauma. I hope to never have to step foot in this facility ever again after my (hopefully) last appointment tomorrow with my psychiatrist. If you're wanting to leave like me, I suggest lawyering up in case they try anything.

Veona-the receptionist- is rude and very unhelpful. The counselors or therapists can barely keep good appointments. I have to wait a month just to see someone again. Therapist is very unreliable. Counseling is good when she has the time for me. Always on medical leave though and had to find a new therapist to take over or wait who know how long for the therapist to return. I have PTSD and trauma and it’s going to take time to handle that. She says I’m almost done but I know I’m not. Psychiatrist dr sprout and others there think because of my family history I have an addict status. Which I am very careful about. I need something for my anxiety they give me mood stabilizers. When asked to switch doctors to the supervisor she said “either you keep this doctor and deal with it or find another place to do psychiatry” Which was completely unfair. She said I had an addictive quality. I have never been addicted to anything in my life. And my anxiety gets worse all the time. I was to the point where I was having two or three anxiety attacks a day. I have had medications since I was four and they refuse to listen to me. Now I’m not sleeping and the nurse made me hang up before I could tell her I need a medication switch. If I could, I’d give this place NO stars. They suck.

A lot of lies were told. Half the people I needed to talk to were no longer working there. I left an office to come to this one because they took my insurance. If you value your mental health I highly suggest finding another place. It's extremely important to have a team of people committed to their patients. I am now dealing with a very bad fallout for trying to do the right thing. I could not even see a therapist because they just kept rescheduling my appt on me.

Please take yourself or loved one some place else. Out of state honestly. Ohios mental health system is a failure.

Kind of scummy to set up a second page for the same business after the first one was being rightfully flooded with negative reviews.

Anyway, this review is dedicated specifically to Mara, a therapist who was rude to me after I gave her a bad assessment, tried to invalidate my abuse because the abuse I underwent wasnt illegal (which is like saying lactose intolerance isn't a real allergy) and overall, acted less like a therapist and more like a narcissistic parent, and I already have two of those in my life.

What's especially concerning is that I've seen Mara at the local hospital a few times, apparently assessing crisis cases. I pity anyone whose mental health is at such a nadir that they have to go to the ER, and then get sent the most incompetent therapist in the county.

Absolutely the worst mental health "help" I have ever had the misfortune of witnessing. My brother went into the hospital February for an extreme panic attack. We were put into contact with firelands. It's May and he has still not seen a doctor or received any actual help from this joke of a doctors.. but of course we don't have many options being low income

When I was released from the mental ward for suicidal depression I was told to check in here. Followed up on the date, apparently that appointment was only to see if I would come and set up another appointment. Did that, showed up and all they wanted to talk about was payments. Should have done that on the check in appointment since it made it seem all they cared about was money and not someone low in their life that they were about to commit suicide. Go somewhere else.

Have been in counseling for 17 months and have learned A lot but due to an amount of insane things happening in my life I was prescribed a benzo. Guess that is considered addictive behavior in their eyes. My suggestion gather all facts and know the whole story before saying you will release someone unsuccessful. I completed my therapy well beyond what I should have had to. This place is book smart but when it comes to really going inside and knowing the situation they know nothing
