John is an excellent guide and, unlike many guides, he fishes for a wide variety of species, including walleye, musky, smallmouth bass, and sunfish. I caught four different species with him on our trip, including a trophy 11.5-inch yellow bass, a species I had never even seen before fishing with John. I've caught fish in all 50 states and trophies in 40 (and counting!) and this yellow bass trophy is still one of my most unique. John is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and he will definitely put you on some fish.

Good time fishing with John. He was a good host on the boat. Great guide for first-time fisherman.

We fished for Bluegill under bobbers...as a catfisherman, I paid $300+ to catch cut bait. We learned more about his "high end clients" than we did about fishing or the lake.
