We recently attended a wedding at Forbes Farm. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The wedding was outside with a fabulous backdrop of the water (with nice seating), and then they had cocktails on the covered patio area and the reception and dinner inside. The food was great. The facilities are beautiful and impeccably clean. There was plenty of room for everyone and yet the furnishings create a feeling of intimacy. We definitely recommend this new addition to St. Simon’s!

I just attended a wedding here this past weekend. It was BEAUTIFUL, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We started outside with the ceremony that had a breathtaking natural view as the backdrop. After that, we enjoyed a cocktail hour on the expansive deck, again enjoying that beautiful view as the sun began to set. Inside we were treated to several varying buffets to please every taste. No rubber wedding chicken here! Everything in the building was neat, clean, and smelled so new. Plenty of luxurious bathroom stalls for all. After dinner, the real fun began. The dance floor was big enough to accommodate our large group for hours. The happy couple's send off was picture perfect with plenty of room for us all to spread out under the front portico to watch that final kiss goodbye. We thoroughly enjoyed our magical night at Forbes Farm!

We attended a gorgeous, picturesque wedding at Forbes Farm over the weekend! The venue is beautiful and elegant in of itself with impressive interior details. Claire, the wedding planner, was extraordinary! She took an already beautiful venue and filled it with it the most perfect flowers, table settings and furniture I have ever seen. Every detail was flawless, so much so that it could have easily been featured in any of the most popular wedding magazines!

If you are searching for a fabulous wedding venue that reflects the kind of southern charm you can only find on the Georgia coast, Forbes Farm will exceed your expectations. We attended the most beautiful, elegant wedding this past weekend at the venue. The bride walked down the aisle surrounded by lush landscaping and nature everywhere. After the "I-do's," the guests took just a few steps to a wonderful, spacious, covered veranda where we comfortably mingled with friends we hadn't seen in years. Inside during dinner, the grazing stations were located throughout the dining room so lines were never issue. Even the restrooms reflected the Southern Charm of St. Simons - with a classic pastel blue tiled floor. And, no - I don't work for Forbes Farm! My family had the most amazing weekend and I wanted to share.

Wow!!! I went to Forbes Farm to a wedding this last weekend, and it was simply incredible. This place/venue is so beautiful both indoors and outdoors. The wedding coordinator, Claire Peterson Simmons, did an amazing job. The setting of the tables and flower arrangements were just breathtaking. This beautiful experience at Forbes Farm was truly magical, and left us with memories that we will treasure forever.!

My husband and I married and hosted our reception at Forbes in September 2024. From the first tour until we climbed in our getaway car on the night of our wedding, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience working with Forbes’ staff and particularly, Claire, who knows the wedding industry and event planning from top to bottom. She was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful in decision making and coordinating with our vendors. The space is immaculate and breathtaking, so it doesn’t require a lot of guesswork on your part as a bride for the design of your event. We have received endless compliments about our wedding and attribute our success, in large part, to selecting Forbes as our venue. If I am ever in need of another large event space on the island, the first place I will consider is Forbes!

It saddens me to write a 2 star review for this beautiful wedding venue. I was really looking forward to touring this location as a potential venue option, as I grew up visiting Saint Simons and was excited to see this stunning venue available on the island. Unfortunately, my tour experience was extremely cold, unwelcoming, and left me disheartened. I chose not to move forward with a proposal from Forbes Farm, but hope this review will help the next bride receive a better experience while planning their special day.
