We had an absolutely delightful time with Richard who is one of the most knowledgeablen friendly and professional bird guides i have had the pleasure of spending the day with. Richard has the absolute goal of making sure that every guest has a splendid time and we did. From the second you meet Richard his kind manner puts you instantly as ease and ensures the rest of the day will be special. He has a unique knowledge of where the birds are and when they might be there. Richard is a wonderful guide and excellent company.
He knows where every bird in SE Arizona can be found, he knows what they sound like, he can spot them at ridiculous distances. And he takes such joy in what he finds and what he can teach everyone in his charge.
I went with him near the end of January 2020 with my two aged parents, both avid birders, and I surprised myself by having a wonderful time. I was expecting a half day of dry lecture and instead had a full day of really good fun, whether learning about shrikes or stalking chestnut collared longspurs or watching American kestrels mate (quickly!) or swapping Monty Python lines. A great day indeed.

RIchard is the bird whisperer of Southeast Arizona. Highly in tune with birds and their characteristics and knows where to find them and how to flush them out. He was a great tour guide and we shall use him again in the future.
