Goldrush Getaways has given us the opportunity to learn so much about the travel industry. It has given us extra income for doing just a few clicks on the keyboard. It's nice to get a 100% commission on our own travels which we do quite often. Having a tax practice business gives me a great leverage as far as clients whom I built relationship with for many many years. These clients are also now my travel clients. It didn't happen overnight of course. I just took the initiative of the online classes that is readily available. The Ensemble event we attended last year was just phenomenal as we met wonderful travel advisors like us. My next goal is to have my children get involved in this business. That would be awesome!

I am thrilled with the one-on-one Christine Seeds has given me as a brand new travel agent! While on the phone she did not rush me in learning how to make 3 cruise reservations! While there are many training webinars for me to choose from as a newbie, I finally got my chance to put some of my training to use! (That that I could recall) However, I am not computer literate! It took me a whole day because one of my passengers asked questions about all the details such as the difference between Standard Vacation Protection and Platinum: Standard Plus Package vs Premium Package. I have never been on a cruise myself! I was in a bit of a tizzy to be speedy and pro-like, for my client, and Christine SAVED THE DAY! She sent me those flyers to read, copy and pass onto my clients! VIA EMAIL!! Of course, my client was my friend and she was patient too, but, my computer skills and PDF files and what-not is NIL! So, I really appreciated Christine's reassurance over the phone. But that's not all about Christine. She called me this morning, after she got back from vacation to inquire how I was doing and that she is back to work at Goldrush Getaways, that I can call and she would be happy to answer any questions. Wow! Thank you Christine for helping boost my confidence in becoming a travel agent. I am now learning how to find a hotel on a low budget in a remote area! haha.
