A friend recommended that we reach out to Marjanna at Great Expeditions to plan our 20th wedding anniversary trip. We had no ideas, but we knew we wanted to go to an island and have some fun, adventurous excursions. Marjanna came back to me with a suggestion for an awesome trip to St. Lucia at the Jade Mountain Resort! All we had to do was say YES and Marjanna took care of everything else! Our amazing hotel offered incredible views of Jade Mountain and the ocean from our private plunge pool and veranda...given there are only 3 walls to our hotel room (so cool!). Marjanna planned fun activities like a snorkel sail, a private chocolate making/tasting event, a trip to the hot springs complete with a mud bath, a jungle bike ride, and plenty of relaxing time on the beach with delicious drinks...oh - and a world class restaurant at the top of the property too. Our major domo made sure our every need was addressed during our stay on property. Marjanna is magical in her vacation-planning efforts; don't hesitate to ask her to plan your next adventure!

This company does amazing work. I’ve been traveling with Great Expeditions for over 20 years - from 6th grade with my parents to my mid 30’s on my own. I’ve been to Italy, Cuba, Australia and Costa Rica with Great Expeditions. What has always stood out to me (and why I choose them now as an adult) are the wonderful itineraries they put together. You simply state what does and does not interest you, how much leisure or activity time you want, and your budget. In return you get a highly detailed schedule sent to you that includes all hotels, tours, vouchers, train tickets, transport cars, etc. it’s amazing because they do the discovery for you and introduce you to a world of experience that wouldn’t be able to find on your own. It's been a year since our trip to Italy and we talk about the trip with excitement and wonder to this day. It was FULLY FABULOUS, an amazing adventure for my husband and me. It came at a time when we were dealing with some grief while also celebrating our 5 year anniversary, and it was the perfect experience for us. We chose to do a bunch of activities in Rome (tours, cooking classes, etc), and to lay low on the Amalfi Coast.

I would give 10 stars if possible! Experiencing a safari will amaze anyone with a heartbeat of course. It's the attention to detail that definitely sets Great Expeditions apart. They asked us what we hoped to experience and personalized our itinerary accordingly. We were also extremely impressed with the level of communication they had with their trusted partners in Tanzania and Zimbabwe, which resulted in a stress-free and enjoyable trip. We have used the company in the past (Australia with 3 young boys) and the experience was equally incredible 15 years ago. Consistency. My next major trip will be with Great Expeditions as well. My husband and I just got back from the most fabulous trip to New Zealand. We swam with dolphins, took a helicoptor to the Glaciers, took an overnight cruise on the fjords, visited wine country, and many other activities.
