We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at Great Wolf Lodge Water park. You can get 2 days in at the water park for the price of 1 night as you can go to the park before your roll is ready and then go the day you check out. We didn't do any of the other activities besides the water park so can't speak to the Magic Quest (though many kids/families were doing that), build a bear, mini golf or ropes course. Our 6 year old grandson loves the water so that is where we spent our time. It was clean though the wait for food was long. Finding chairs was a bit of a hunt the first day since we didn't get into the park until after 11 and people save tables and chairs. We didn't use lockers but they are available. Plenty of life guards and the lines for the raft rides moved pretty quickly. We were there Monday-Tuesday so can't speak to crowds on the weekend. We got a good deal on the room but be prepared for the parking and resort fee to be added. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and plenty of space to move around so no complaints about the room.

First things first... This is a resort. Of course, they will try to nickel and dime you at every turn. You can easily just not buy all the extras if you want to stay in budget. That's totally up to you, and I wouldn't fault the business for that. Just say no.

We arrived at 3pm on our check in day and Jennifer at guest services had a room that was ready, so we were able to put our things in the room and then go to the water park. We were prepared to go straight to the water park though, just in case. But this made things easier for sure.

The prices for the added attractions are actually pretty reasonable. Mini golf is like $7.99pp and the ropes course was $14.99pp. The Magiquest and Build a Bear get pricey really quickly, so we avoided them.

We stayed at the water park from 3-7pm the guest day, showered then drove into town and had dinner at Brickhouse Grill, which was really good. Highly recommend.

Since we only stayed one night, we got Dunkin for breakfast, located on the first floor, ate in the room, then checked out at 11am. We put everything in the car and then enjoyed the water park all day until 3pm.

We showered and changed in the clean locker rooms before loading up in the car and heading to Alabama.

Considering the two days of water park we enjoyed, plus the hotel stay (queen w/ bunk beds), we thought the price was well worth it. This location doesn't have quite as many slides as some others we've been to, but there's still plenty to do and the lines were never more than 5 minutes, so that's awesome.

All of the lifeguards took their job seriously and weren't playing around like you see at some other places. That was good to see, because there is alot going on.

You can easily go crazy and spend loads of money for sure. But, if you resist the urge, you can have a very budget friendly getaway. Everyone gets free wolf ear headbands too!

It was our first time at Great Wolf Lodge and we had an amazing time. There is plenty for the children to do with the events and wolf pass. We were able to make funny memories this past weekend. From the the time we arrived to the time we left every staff member was friendly, had a smile, asked how we were doing and was ready to answers any questions we had. We arrived around 2:30pm EST and check in through the kiosk was super easy and our suite was already available. The breakfast buffet was great! I only wish they had a better option for ordering your omelet. You have to write it down on paper, turn it in and then wait for your name to be called. It caused a small line but wasn’t too bad. Overall a great stay and experience.

Update: a case was opened and I was able to send details/screenshots of my situation. They replied they’d get right back to me. That was 3 weeks ago.

The good: Rooms were clean and contained the usual necessary items. It was a fun experience. The lifeguards at the water park take their jobs seriously and work hard. Staff is friendly and helpful unless you need to reach out to customer service, which brings me to…
The bad: Magi Quest needs updating. Portals or wands don’t work consistently. Food on site is expensive. You need to pay to park now and it’s egregious at $15/day, even if you’re a hotel guest. Now, I get my statement for the time there, and I’m double charged for parking and a couple of other items. I attempted to reach out to customer service and was on hold 3 times and each time it was 10-30 minutes where it would disconnect before I could speak to someone. Finally, I got a hold of someone and they said I’d have to wait 7-8 business days to dispute the charges. I will not be vacationing here again. I’m a single mom and money is too precious to me to toss around.

We initially were supposed to come on Thursday but unfortunately we had a family emergency and had to move our date to Friday. Big Mistake price wise as we had to pay the difference and it was a vast amount per person from Thursday to Friday so if you can stick with the weekdays. We decided to do a cabana, and day pass for a fun birthday/spring break surprise. The first half was absolutely amazing, until the shift change then it went downhill. There was no one to tell we were missing things from our initial order and no one to tell that we wanted to place a second order. With the day passes being over $400 and the cabana/concierge being around $400 ($800) for one day plus food ($148 and we didn’t get everything we ordered), I would expect the service to be much better! Not only that but instead of charging everything together, besides the food of course, they had to swipe my card 4 times. Once for the up charge in day passes, once for incidentals, once for the remaining cabana fee, and once to have a card on file. Just tell me the full price and charge it once. Nevertheless my children had an absolute ball and we will surely be exploring more great wolf lodges as we travel to other states.

First time trip to Great Wolf Lodge. The Kid Cabin Suite was a perfect size for a family of 6. Everything was clean. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. We arrived for check in after hours and we were given an extra hour for check out so we wouldn't have to rush in the morning. We purchased the Birthday Bash package for our son and it was definitely worth it! The pizza was delicious, cake was adorable, and the decorations were perfect! The water park was clean, lifeguards everywhere that were extremely attentive, and the bathroom/showers were clean as well. There is so much to do at one location it would take at least 3 days to truly explore. They offer great packages that make it easy for family on a budget to enjoy the park. We have already started planning on going back for a longer stay!

Our family had such a blast at great wolf lodge!! Such a family friendly place with so many fun activities for the kids. Shout out to Della who when my daughter was by herself playing, went completely out of her way to make her happy. I came and saw her helping my kid and it completely warmed my heart. Most of the staff here was exceptional. Looking forward to our next trip here 🙂

We’ve been here a few times and overall it was fun. A few things have changed our mind. The pay to park model they implemented is less than stellar. We were there for an overnight trip from 4pm to 130pm the next day and paid 2 days parking.
The food at the main restaurant is the next issue. It takes a long time to get it and they charge premium prices for mediocre food. You’d do much better to go off property.
Upon checkin, we found a pile of items left in the room from the last guests and that made us question the cleanliness.
Lastly, people stealing chairs and our towels. It’s sad to deal with rude people while paying those prices.
Next time we do something like this, we will head to Pigeon Forge.
