The surgery waiting area is cozy and welcoming. There are televisions, plenty of seating, a coffee machine, and a fireplace. Charmaine at the check in desk is very friendly. You get regular text updates of the patient’s progress. Overall, it was a pleasant experience (as pleasant as it can be when you are waiting for a loved one in surgery).

This was my first visit to Griffin Hospital I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hospital the staff was extremely friendly in a natural way they all seem to interact well together as if they actually enjoyed bei g at work!! This eased my mind when I was getting ready to go into surgery I really felt like I was with family in such a short period.
I wish more places or like this the world would be a better place. Thanks to all the staff that made things go so smoothly for my surgery!!!

All in all the hospital is clean. Staff seem friendly. The reason I gave 3 stars is because my husband stayed in the ER on a cot for 19 hours before they found him a room. He got upstairs the doctors did there thing and one night I was visiting him. I came late because I wasn’t going to see him for a few days due to my schedule. The nurse on the floor informed me that I was not allowed to asleep in his room because he had a roommate. I could visit him but I couldn’t be sleep. The only way I was allowed to spend the night was if he had a single room. Not for nothing my husband waited 19 hours for a room could you image how long he would have had to wait if he wanted a single room. Also they don’t go down the list of rooms and preferences they just stick you in the first available bed. I seen someone die and they had that room ready for a patient within two hours. I get that is the flow of the hospital. I just don’t understand how I fell asleep all week in his room. Not intentionally but not a beep besides I am his spouse not a random visitor. Although I feel like they handled it in a respectful manner I feel like the only reason they had me leave was because another patient was being unruly on the floor and quite frankly I don’t believe they handled them lawfully and by the hospital policy. As soon as they made them be quiet they made me leave quickly which I found out as I was already there for 3 hours not asleep because I sleep light but eyes closed with a blanket. It felt as though they were trying to force me to leave in the off chance something or someone would get in trouble. Maybe it was they policy but my husband has been in griffin for a week and it’s the first I heard of it. As a matter of fact his roommate was moved out of the single room and put in his room because they needed the single room.

Personality in same day surgery! The prep nursing staff was fantastic! Dr minottis anesthesia team was amazing and comforting! Or staff warm and welcoming! Post op care upstairs was fantastic!! Overall experience 15 out of 10!!!❤️

Charmaine is the most amazing liaison and the most helpful and accommodating woman here at Griffin hospital. Everyone that steped through the door for service was well taken care of for whatever needs that they mey need through out the day. May God Bless her for her caring and kindness.

Such a wonderful experience. I was a walk-in and Jess at registration got me in quickly! My X-ray tech, Ariana, was so nice, and made me feel comfortable. And for my blood draw, Aleena was awesome. No pain from the needle poke! And she is so friendly. Thank you all so much.
