This place is a little hidden gem! We needed a hotel for 1 night before our cruise and this was it! Very well maintained, rooms have recently been renovated and are like new, including the washrooms. 2 double beds, fridge, microwave and a new Keurig coffee maker in the room. Bed are very comfortable and mattresses are new, same as pillows. Parking lot is freshly painted, outside area is nicely decorated. Front desk staff is very professional and friendly. Beyond helpful as we arrived and needed to go eat something. He gave us a map of Downtown San Pedro which is within walking distance, many families were out there with kids and dogs. Seemed safe. There is a grocery store around the corner too and a pharmacy (RiteAid) within 8 min walking. I do recommend this place and would come back!!

Excellent check in and check out. The staff are very friendly and are very helpful and knowledgable. They allowed us to leave our cases before and after check in/out. Room was a great size, clean and well stocked with supplies. Felt very safe but the road noise was a little loud at times, but if you wear ear plugs you can’t hear it. Plenty of local eating places nearby. There is a bus service to downtown LA which costs $1.75 each way, excellent value. Would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been using this motel as my pre-cruise stay for years now. They’ve changed the name to Guest Harbor Inn, but it’s still the same great owners. I’m a person who loves to support small, independently owned and operated businesses. The family that owns this inn is amazing, thoughtful, and will go the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of. They’ve made great improvements to the property it’s well-maintained, and the products they use are not what you’d expect from a motel. From the sheets and towels to the coffee and toilet paper, they pay attention to the small details. It’s about a 5-minute drive to the cruise terminal, and they offer reasonably priced extended parking and transportation options. I’ve used the large chain-affiliated hotels in the area a few times, but you don’t get the personalized experience. It feels cold and almost computer-like. In my opinion, this is the best budget hotel near the World Cruise Center by far.

The staff are super friendly and the rooms are maintained well. I was hesitant to stay at a motel as some we have stayed in the past were not well maintained. Fortunately that was not the case here. The owners seem to get that keeping the property in good working order is important to the guest's experience. I wish more motel owners did the same. The room was well maintained and had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

I highly recommend staying here. If you are in the area to go on a cruise, like us, this is a great place to stay. They were very helpful by providing recommendations for breakfast and transportation to the port.

We are absolutely blown away by this hotel. The staff was so friendly, A nice Family runs it. Our room is newly renovated very spacious and the bathroom is absolutely magnificent. I don’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone who’s in the area looking for a place to stay.

If you are looking for ..... Overpriced Accommodations, this Motel is NOT for you.

If you are looking for a Very reasonably priced (using CA standards) stay for a few days, before and after a Cruise, due to Management, THIS is the Spot for you.

To begin with, due to a pending Snow Storm in Illinois, I felt it would be best if we left before the Storm.

Having booked an already filled Guest Harbor Inn for 2 days, I called and spoke to SAM.
After explaining my problem, he said "give him a few hours and he will see what he can do.”

To my surprise, when I called back, he told me he could accommodate my request, and within the conversation, realized I had a Mobility Issue and would have a room on the Ground floor.

When we arrived everything was as he said.

The thing that Really impressed me was when we needed a Taxi to pick us up to go to a nearby restaurant, Sam actually waited outside in the Rain, to make sure the Taxi picked us up right by our room, so we wouldn’t have to walk to the street in the rain.

I will beyond all doubt, always use Guest Harbor Inn, for all our future stays in San Pedro. BRAVO Sam !!!

The rooms are straightforward yet clean, offering a comfortable stay. While noise can occasionally carry, the atmosphere during my visit was peaceful, with courteous and considerate guests. Although I didn’t utilize a vehicle during my stay, a parking lot is available for those who need it. Overall, this property provides a convenient and affordable option for travelers, especially for those embarking on a cruise or stopping as they explore up the coastline.
