I stayed with my family for six nights, and it was an incredibly joyful and memorable experience. We chose Hampton Inn based on its high ratings and its convenient location near the beach. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was warm and welcoming.

I booked a guest room with two queen beds and an additional complimentary bed for the baby. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making us feel as though we were sleeping on clouds. The room service was professional and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect. The breakfast offered each morning was absolutely delicious and flavorful.

One of the standout features was the 24/7 availability of a coffee machine for guests, as well as the thoughtful addition of a personal coffee maker in our room. The hot jacuzzi and swimming pool were absolutely fantastic and added to the relaxing experience.

I honestly have nothing negative to report. Last year, I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton John Lennon Airport in Liverpool, UK, and the experience was just as luxurious and outstanding as the Santa Monica branch. Thank you to the Hampton team for your hospitality and for making our stay so memorable!

I had an excellent experience checking in at the Hampton Inn, thanks to Maritza. She is truly exceptional at her job. The check-in process was seamless, and her kindness, professionalism, and politeness stood out. Her customer service was phenomenal, and she made us feel genuinely welcome.

What really impressed me was how attentive she was to my 8-month-old daughter, who couldn’t stop smiling at her. Maritza smiled back and interacted so warmly—it was a small gesture, but it made a big impact on our stay.

Maritza embodies the kind of customer service that makes guests feel valued. Hampton Inn is lucky to have her, and I hope more customer service representatives follow her example!

After reading all the reviews we decided to book this hotel - What a pleasant surprise from driving in later in the night to checking out couldn’t have asked for more. The staff were very pleasant, attentive and helpful. The breakfast choices were sufficient for what we needed. Pool area was clean and tidy although wrong time of year for us to use !! The rooms were very modern, clean and tidy asked for extra pillow and was brought straight away. Lifts were speedy and never waited for more that a couple of mins if that for one. Location was fantastic and walking distance to all we could need. Matt was wonderful as we checked out just couldn’t have asked for more from the staff at this hotel would definitely recommend.

Stayed here in summer, the hotel room was pretty nice and clean. Maybe the hallways were a little bit out of date but nothing bad. nice gym and pool. For me the issue was the environment, the location itself is good but not so much the environment. The environment is filled with homeless people who are typically on hard drugs which makes it bad. Wouldn’t go on a walk nearby unless needed.

Easy to book, but when I arrived they had no idea I was traveling with pets (I specified on the booking.com app that I had two pets) and I did not know there would be an additional fee upon check in, as all of that should have been included when I'd initially booked? I was also unaware of the city-required $75 deposit. All of these surprise fees, deposits, and taxes on what started off as a $240 room had me at around $400 for a single night. The icing on top was that there were a large amount of drug addicts and homeless milling around the property day and night. I did not feel safe at all.

I stayed here with my family from 13-16 Oct after travelling for three weeks in the US (visited from Australia). The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to the Santa Monica beach. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are also wonderful. The ladies at the front desk, especially Claribel and Marissa, were very helpful all the way. They also have a lovely breakfast menu, which is great when you have a child. Overall, they made our LA stay very nice.

Only stayed for 2 nights and was a great experience. Breakfast was amazing along with the free all day coffee. The lobby’s nice and relaxing. We don’t use the gym or pool but it looked a nice area. Very close to the promenade and Santa Monica Pier.

We rented a larger king suite with balcony on the top floor - the view was lovely. The room was in good condition and very clean, the patio furniture could use a freshening up. The area is generally safe - there are a few homeless on the streets, but no different than any other city these days but less than Phoenix or NYC for sure.||Hotel staff are very nice and helpful, always with a smile. I love the Santa Monica area, always have, and it's nice to see that it's improved over the years. This hotel is near many good restaurants and only a short walk from the pier. This hotel is also reasonably priced and safe with parking (for an extra fee).||We enjoyed our stay, you will too!
