Worst catering ever. We had them cater a 92 person dinner for Yolo Sportsman’s association. It was supposed to be Tri Tip and chicken. The chicken was as hard as beef jerk and dry as cardboard. The Tri tip was not tri tip we think it was a cheap cut of meat like London broil and it had a freezer taste. They sent a server that certainly was not happy to be there. And to top it off they charged almost $40 a person. Hannibal’s food may be great at the restaurant but their catering for us was horrible !!! Never again !!!

Their food was good and the server was attentive. I ordered the cold sandwiches option for 110 people at a funeral repast and everyone enjoyed the food. Some of my guests even took the leftovers home. They were easy to work with and prompt with sending the needed food license and insurance to the post-burial venue. The only unwelcomed surprise was the 18% "administration and handling" fee, which considerably raised the cost of the meal. I would have preferred knowing about this "handling" fee at the onset of my order placement rather than at the time of payment.

We were so pleased with our experience! I rarely have expectations exceeded and Hannibal’s accomplished it. The people on the phone were always friendly and professional and asked all the questions that needed to be asked to ensure a flawless event. The delivery showed up early and they went above and beyond in helping setup the event. Always a concern is the quality and quantity of food. Everyone commented how good the food was and no one left hungry and there were leftovers. Thank you for making our memorable day perfect.

The event they were hired for, was to include tri tip and chicken. The tri tip was beyond nasty. It was overcooked, tasted like cardboard and I don’t think it was tri tip! Their chicken was drier than a bone. It was obvious they had most of this food frozen for a while before thawing. It was NOT fresh. I also bake and could tell their cookies they brought for dessert were frozen for such a long period of time they tasted like freezer burn, and had zero taste. This was 100% obvious. I would never consider this place and the event they catered had enough complaints of the food, that it was embarrassing.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to try out Hannibal's while I was activated for my job here in Rancho Cordova. While I was here, I had the pleasure of meeting Taylor, and I also had the opportunity to try out their chicken curry, which was absolutely amazing. I love Indian food, and I am a very very strict critic of what is and isn't good when it comes Indian food, and I can say this is above reproach. I urge you to try out their chicken curry, and if you ever get the opportunity to see or meet Taylor, you'll be as well off as I am. Thank you again Hannibal's, it was a wonderful experience.

I hate to do this but we had a terrible experience with them.
To start, this was for a funeral. A very important event if I do say so myself.

The food was by-and-large terrible.
The bacon in the BLTs (described as 'crispy' BLT sliders) was nearly raw.
The spring rolls and mini beef wellingtons were soggy and undercooked.
The meatballs tasted like they had been marinating in salt for a week.
I'd like to say that the only good options were the cheese and fruit plates. But even the fruit was problematic. The pineapple tasted like it had been cut while someone was smoking. Every piece smelled of cigarettes. Out of 8 items ordered, 4 were messed up. Additionally we had requested tablecloths for 5 tables (at $10 each) and didn't receive them.

When all of this was brought up, the staff at Hannibal's only offered a measly 10% off when around 1/2 of our order was quite frankly awful and ineddable.

We let them know that we didn't feel 10% was a fair refund given such an overwhelmingly poor experience. The employee let us know she didn't have the authority to increase it. But she said that she would have her supervisor call us to discuss the situation.
For some reason, no one called or emailed. We simply got an invoice showing the refund for the missing tablecloths ($50) and the 10% discount, around $180 total.

I've worked in customer service my whole career and never have I simply sent a discount without having a requested conversation. Especially when a customer is so very upset and when the situation was so very important.

Honestly if the customer service had been marginally better I wouldn't even write a review at all. But given the blatant disregard for the importance of this event and the lack of basic respect regarding our requested conversation with a supervisor, I felt it was important to warn other potential customers of Hannibal's business practices.

We had Hannibal Catering for our wedding, 4/23/22. From the very start we had such great experience. The communication was great. We were able to see multiple menus and when we found what we wanted they had us come in for a tasting. They were very flexible with us changing the contract a few times. The day of we everything was set up so nicely. It was nice that they were able to handle that part. Definitely appreciate it. The food was delicious. Everyone loved it. The best part we have left overs. Thank you for everything! Highly recommend for your next event!

We went to a memorial service yesterday and at the reception Hannibal’s did the catering! I was so impressed with the food and the presentation. It was amazing!! Best sandwich, salad and cookie I’ve had in a long time! Didn’t have room for other dessert but the cupcakes looked amazing too! Brought half of my sandwich home as they supplied to-go boxes and had it for dinner! Can’t say enough about Hannibal’s!! If I have a gathering, I’ll definitely call them! Everything was so fresh!!!
