This is a great day trip from Las Vegas, but leave Vegas early in the morning and plan for it to take most of the day. If you manage your time well, you can stop by the Hoover Dam on your way back to Vegas. The helicopter ride to the floor of the canyon is amazing and the staff are very professional. Once at the bottom, the boat ride provides a beautiful view of the canyon walls and the guide was friendly and willing to share information about the reservation and the canyon. The free shuttle service between the various points in the reservation is clean and convenient, making it easy to navigate the area.
