Behind the Heritage Village Centre is a magical place, Dan Lyon Field, home to Cincinnati Red Stockings and Cincinnati Buckeyes vintage base ball clubs, 1869 style (no gloves, gentlemanly conduct, no imbibing, use of only 1 ball per game, no steals, etc). This is real time travel. Take the kids/grandkids for an experience they will always remember.

It's absolutely beautiful, and a guided tour is wonderful for anyone into history. Learning about where the buildings come from and the effort put into preserving them was especially intriguing.

We were here for their Haunted Village for the first time, and we were volunteering. I previously thought it was supposed to be a super scary event, but this event is made for preschool and up. Guests young and old would dress up in costumes too! It's considered "slight fright" and no one was jumping out at you. The volunteers were dressed up in fun outfits and make-up, but not gory. The Village looked awesome with lights, lanterns, halloween blow-ups, different buildings with a different theme, and a cool lighted up haunted walk through the woods. They passed out candy and light-up bracelets. The event was really unique to be going through an actual Village (that's actually haunted), and I love supporting a place that's preserving Cincinnati history and interactive education.

We enjoyed every bit of the grounds. We went for your homeschool day. It was lovely but very popular. My only complaint is I would love two levels. One for young kids, and one for older. Due to the toddler chaos, some exhibits we're far too busy for us to partake. But thank you for hosting us!

I encourage families to buy the membership, as it will give you unlimited visits to the haunted village at Halloween and discounts during the Christmas events at the village. These are homes and stores saved from demolition and relocated here. The setting is beautiful. This is an important chapter in American history and nothing will have a bigger impact on children than a live action experience.

My family rented the Haynor House's Ballroom for a private party. It's a spectacular space for smaller gatherings. Actually, it's a hidden gem!
The rental included the kitchen facilities with space in the dining room for a buffet where you can have your event catered or you can bring in your own prepared food. The private ballroom can accommodate up to 40 people. Tables and chairs were provided with table linens. We were also able to use a back porch area with several long tables and chairs. The porch area was a bonus for those who wanted to dine outside and served as a great space for older children. We were also able to reserve and pay for the children to explore the Hands on History space. This unique area provided the children to learn about our ancestors' day to day living activities. It's quite interesting! The Hands on History area is located in the basement of the Haynor House. There are also restrooms located in the building area before entering the History space. There are number of steps to descend to reach both the learning area and those restrooms. Fortunately, there is a single restroom on the main floor for those who cannot manage the outdoor steps, and there is a ramp available to enter the main floor.
My family had a beautiful day as you can see in these photos.
Finally, I cannot say enough about the staff. Tyna, our contact, who is not only knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but she is also easy to communicate and work with.
I must say the experience in this historic place held a significant importance for me. My family's roots in Sharonville date back to 1898. It was as if we were celebrating with the previous generations too.
I highly recommend checking out and renting this elegant, intimate space in the Haynor House.
Heritage Village gets 5 stars from me!!

My wife and I love coming here and going for walks in the woods. The paths are well-maintained and the waterfalls are as beautiful as they can be. The lake has paddle boats and fishing areas. The walking area around the lake is paved.
