I can't say enough about The Hideaway on the Hocking, we stayed in The Little Brown Caboose and the inside was amazingly restored for a 100 year old Caboose. It was roomy and had everything you could want, small kitchen with fridge and freezer, cooktop, coffee maker, microwave etc. Spacious bathroom with flushing toilet, shower and sink. The bed was so comfortable and loved the TV in the bedroom as well. The large windows in the bedroom were so nice to look out of while laying in bed. They provided everything you could need and we loved the large porch in the back, perfect for wine evenings and coffee mornings! The firepit and amenities were great as well. In between the rain we were able to take a few hikes and the property is so beautiful and well taken care of, clearly marked paths and some fun surprises for the little ones. We want to stay in every Caboose and Cabin and can't wait to come back! Oh and another thing, the Caboose was spotless, probably cleaner than my house! Thank you Cindy, Corey and Tim and the whole crew for making it an unforgettable trip!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hideaway on the Hocking! We stayed at The Bridge and the home is just beautiful! From the stunning views at night to the comfortable beds - we loved everything about the place! When we arrived there were some treats for us (coffee, tea, coffee cake, honey and the list goes on and on. We did a couple experiences: Cake & Bake and the Churn and they were fantastic! We had a couple of teenagers with us and they loved their time with Keely decorating cakes. And the ice cream was delicious! The team at Hideaway was very responsive to our needs and we can’t recommend this place enough!

This place is a little hidden gem. We stayed in The Little Brown Caboose which was perfect for us. Once we got to the property would didn't leave. The trails around offered nice places to hike. We hiked to the Eagles Nest once gave us a great view of the Eagle sitting in the tree. The trails are marked while with either a sign or a marked with a number. We relaxed on the back porch and took in the deer eating. Once night came we were able to see the stars. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all this is the place. We plan on booking another stay in the future.

Hideaway on the Hocking is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and unique places I've ever had the pleasure of staying. I've traveled extensively across the United States, and nothing compares to the charm and character of this incredible property.

We stayed in the Depot, a beautifully restored train station that simply took my breath away. The original ticket windows, combined with the luxurious modern amenities, created a truly unforgettable experience.

Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the high-quality furnishings and impeccable decor to the unexpected little touches that made our stay truly special.

The snow-covered landscape created a magical atmosphere, and the stunning views were simply breathtaking.

Hideaway on the Hocking is a true gem, and I can't recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back!

The Mill at Hideaway on the Hocking was amazing. The owners definitely didn’t cut any corners. Me and my daughter’s family spent the weekend visiting with family and relaxing. Plenty of outdoor space and seating to stretch out and soak in the beauty of God’s masterpiece. We took advantage of the hot tub at night as well. We were traveling with an infant and were provided a pack and play and high chair upon request. The dinnerware and glasses were pro adult for sure, I will, in order to keep The Mill family friendly and not just an adult getaway, I would suggest Wheat Straw dinnerware for kids(unbreakable). We all slept well, beds were Slush comfortable and the bedding was lush. So much so my daughter is planning to ask where the orange pillows in the master bedroom came from. The welcome basket was filled with fabulous treats and a fun childhood toy to show you the different seasons at the retreat. I love the record selections, record player, microphones fireplace, they had something for all ages. Visitors coming from the city may want to bring a firestarter square or 2 to get the outside fire going to you can truly enjoy the full experience. I can honestly say, it was a wonderful welcoming homecoming for this southeastern, Ohio girl.

What to do when a winter blizzard hits with a foot of fresh snow? Pack up the car and venture out to the Hideaway on the Hocking for two days of winter bliss. That’s exactly what we did during the recent storm that hit our area. We stayed at The Falls and it was incredible! It was stocked with everything you would ever need and even when I couldn’t find something I needed (a charger for my cell phone) it wasn’t because they didn’t have it, it was simply the fact that I hadn't looked in the right place. Cindy has done an incredible job of decorating the cabin and the warm fireplace welcoming couch and throw made for a cozy evening while we watched the snowfall. The next morning we awoke to a winter wonderland just waiting to be explored. We had a beautiful hike on the Riverwalk and Storybook trails. On our return from our hike we had a quick dip in the hot tub before settling into our cabin for the day. All in all it was a perfect way to spend a snowy winter weekend. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed at Hideaway over Thanksgiving. My son and his family live very close by. I couldn't wait til this place opened up to book our holiday. Wow! Our cabin was so incredible! We all kept saying.."I want to move in here and never leave!" The cabin was stocked with every possible amenity and clearly labeled. The amazing porch swing was the biggest hit! Everything was immaculate and new. I loved the decor, so we'll done and welcoming.
We were all so pleased with everything. Since it was Thanksgiving, we were all counting our blessings. I had to add our cabin at Hideaway to my list...something I was very grateful this year.

Location is quiet and beautiful.
Cabins are meticulously prepared and comfortable.
Unfortunately, the caboose cabins were not available in winter weather, but was able to see the interior of each one. Highly anticipate a return trip to stay in one of them.
Highly, highly recommend.
Also, a great place to hold weddings or family gatherings.
