I am a two time alum of High Watch and I owe the place so much. The first time I went in July 2023 was the first time I ever tried to get sober - I was terrified to enter treatment, didn’t want the help, was angry and frankly wasn’t ready to get sober. High Watch nonetheless showed me so much love, support and encouragement during my 28 day stay, and in the months following my discharge. They met me where I was and didn’t give up trying to help me. This stay at High Watch was the first time in my life I felt like I belonged somewhere.

I came back 6 months later in February 2024 and this time stayed for 4.5 months - completed the regular 28 day program and also the 3 month extended guest program. I am still sober today. If it hadn’t been for my extremely positive experience during round 1, I would never have returned. The staff at High Watch genuinely care about every single guest there, the therapists and group sessions are great, and the campus is beautiful. There are quite a lot of rules / a rigid daily schedule, which was sometimes tough but for me I needed this kind of structure. What’s also cool is that so many (I think the majority) of staff members are in recovery themselves and many have gone through High Watch so they get what it’s like to be in treatment and how hard it is, especially at the beginning. High Watch also helps set you up with plans after your discharge and have great connections with sober livings and IOPs to help with your aftercare plans. For what it’s worth, the food is also amazing 😊

I went here in January 2023. I was there for about a year- between the rehab and the sober living, Eden Hill. It wasn’t a good experience. Rehab can be jarring, but the unprofessionalism of the staff and the lack of care made me feel unsupported. I saw staff members share explicit photos with each other at the beginning of my stay. Making bracelets and reading the big book is kind of all there is to do. I was later accused of something my roommate did. Because the nature of the patients I boarded with there was gossip that was often collaborated with by the staff. This was my experience. I wish I had a choice to go somewhere else but at the time I did not.

Dont return calls. Made a meeting with anne corey never followed through
and told (patient ) i mean vacationer idìdnt call. Have email showing
confirmation. Unqualified staff. Just a luxury vacation. No after care support called for support in crisis phone only rings no voicemail no answering machine. Next day call back first question from high watch was about insurance. No regard of the crisis with no support from high watch personal. What they teach in first 30 days they repeat in 60 days and the same at 90 days and every one gets a participant award shining little coin ohh what a good job. What a laugh 😃

Been to Highwatch as a person seeking recovery. It’s laughable to suggest an individual struggling with a lifelong addiction problem will be helped by a 28 day period of abstinence from their drug of choice. Great food and a high end country club atmosphere has nothing to do with treatment for a problem that will kill you if not taken seriously. Bill Wilson would be ashamed. Complete and utter hogwash!!

I attended this facility in 2013 and must say that the program itself is amazing. It was not the end all for me as I had about another year run but the tools I was equipped with after leaving High Watch were there and I have (only by the grace of God) celebrated 9 years sober on 6/30/23. I credit this program for my ultimate success. I have since remarried, had a beautiful daughter, rekindled relationships with family, and successfully grown my career with 5 promotions. I attribute everything I have today to their program. Thank you for the experience!

There are no doubt many great treatment centers in the world, but High Watch is unmatched for the caliber of its staff, its interdisciplinary treatment model combining great clinical care with AA, and its beautiful grounds (and great food). When you need help, this is the place and these are the people you want to be there for you. I'm forever grateful they were for me.

Started uncontrollable drinking at 20 and lost the next 15 years of my life. After multiple hospital trips and 2 detox's- I was about to walk to the packy when my legs gave out and I fell down. That's when I decided I had enough and my parents had High Watch's number on the counter. I called, said I needed help- and High Watch's staff took care of all the details. It was my first rehab and I was terrified and couldn't think straight for 3 weeks. When they recommend staying as long as you can- its strictly for your benefit. I found a private spot and took the second step. I went to the scheduled meetings, listened, took notes and stayed 4 months. I am confident that nearly 6 years later my desire to maintain sobriety has only been achieved by the tools High Watch gave me.
