I gave birth at this hospital, I live in town so you hear alot about this hospital but if im being honest, I had such a great experience giving birth here! As a first time mom they explained everything to me in detail, got me upstairs right away after coming in letting them know my water broke. My labor & delivery nurses were amazing & so attentive. All so professional. My after birth team was so good as well, many nurses due to shift changes but they were all very attentive, kept making sure I got what I needed per my doctors requests. Kept checking me and my babys vitals. Food/room service was super good surprisingly lol only uncomfortable thing is the couch bed for the Dad but aside from that, such a great experience. My Doctor, Shonowo did an amazing job delivering my baby & making sure she came out safe. Definitely recommend this hospital based off of my experience.

I was in the ER on 13 April 2025 with my brother. He was their for injuries to his feet and back due to a severe fall down a flight of stairs. (14-15 stairs)

We were registered and taken to our room promptly, where no other patients were, and we were the only 2 people in this room, and were waiting to see a Nurse and Physician Assistant. Our nurse, Faith, came by and assessed my brother. I was a bit concerned as she was not dressed as the other nurses, out of uniform and with her hair not tied back, I was a bit concerned with how she would handle my brother’s care. She was a bit mild mannered in her initial interations with us, however I assumed that was the end of it. After sometime of waiting, my brother began feeling more pain and I went to look for Faith but she was on a personal phone call, and I hesitated to approach her due to her behavior with us before. A Patient Care Technician helped my move my brother into a more comfortable position while waiting.

After waiting for sometime, the Physician Assistant came by and checked my brother. (Isabelle S Bisda) When the nurse came back to administer medicine to my brother, she observed me on my phone and assumed I was making videos. She addressed this and I showed her I was on a call with my family at home, who also includes an immune-compromised member. At the time she did not say anything and I continued to inform our family of my brother’s care.

After X-Rays were conducted and the results were back, Faith came back to ask if we were still waiting on the X-Ray results. My brother explained to her that the PA had come over to inform us of the results. She was okay with that.
I then added that the PA said my brother can be discharged and I think shes working on the paperwork. Faith snapped at me, she said, ā€œYeah, don’t you see her talking to another patient over there?ā€ I was apalled at her behavior towards me, my brother also called her out on her response.

Once the PA finished with the patient she was working with, I called her over. I explained what had transpired in the past hour and half and I tried to keep calm however I was feeling a lot of anxiety due to the treatment I was receiving from a front line health care worker who works with patients and concerned families. The PA listened to me as I explained my whole experience to her. She said she understood and would work on discharging my brother.

After this, the Charge Nurse, Lucero showed up. I am unsure if this is Lucero’s first job, or first time in a leadership role but she entered the room with intent to attack me. She used the argument of my making videos on my phone to cover up the whole experience Faith had provided us with. I listened to her keep attacking me and not once did this charge nurse apologize for the behavior her nurse had exhibited towards me. After about 5 minutes of this Charge Nurse rambling on and on and being unable to provide me with any consolation, my brother interjected and asked if she was only there to justify her nurse’s actions. At this point, Lucero decided to walk out of the room while I was mid-sentence. I did not catch her name, I yelled after her asking her to give me her name as I reserved the right to know who is speaking with me. Another nurse gave me her name and information.

I am shocked at the behavior of the nurse and the Charge Nurse at this ED. As a local to Sayreville NJ my whole life, I have come here for any emergencies for me, or my family members, which would be dozens of times, but never have I left feeling so distressed I was shaking with anxiety. I fear for the well-being of any patients under Faith’s care or Lucero’s leadership as their tactic for patient care is intimidation, and disrespect. I truly hope corrective actions will be taken to prevent these kinds of inexperienced and insensitive people from working directly with vulnerable patients and families who are coming to this hospital for wellness, and treatment in a positive environment, rather than a negative one.

Got the emergency room (bed 27)at 1:30 AM, my daughter had severe pan under her chest, doctor came right away, said, he’ll send her to cat scan and will give her something for pan. We are in front of nurse work station, 5 of them are gathering, talking loud(my nurse angie included)45 minutes my nurse came to do her job that was supposed to start 45 minutes ago, that’s why things take so much time in this emergency room. It’s not acceptable. There is no supervisor around, if it was she’s probably was one of those five gathering

Dr.Shizdat (Neurologist) was the rudest doctor I’ve ever met. She tried to gaslight me & manipulate me into thinking I was basically confused or couldn’t recall my medical history. As if I walk around with a notebook in my hand of every incident. She needs to learn better bedside etiquette! I truly do not respect doctors like this. We go through enough to have to deal with insensitivity & condescending individuals. Disgusting! Dr.Shizdat Is a Neurologist… she needs to be checked! Oh she was also upset my primary doctor was not from that facility. Lol so she basically said she wouldn’t have treated me. Mind you I came in as an emergency! Terrible woman! Besides that my nurse was absolutely amazing. That is all… thank you.

I was in for car accident injuries. I specifically told the staff multiple times what was hurting and where, which was the right side of my ribs due to the center console in the car hitting me on impact, as well as my left inner knee which had been scraped by the air bag deploying and in pain. They ordered a CT scan for my chest, instead of the areas that were actually under concern. There was no inspection of, or tests ordered for my knee, nor was it cleaned or bandaged.

The nurses behind the desk were loud, making jokes, and laughing at times. At other times they were arguing or not listening to one another.

Upon arrival, barely being able to stand, the security guard took his time searching my bags, while I was visibly in pain, had no where to sit, and was not offered a place to sit. Instead I was made to rest my body up against the wall, hunching over in pain. I didn't feel as though any of the staff at this hospital were taking the situation or their jobs seriously in the slightest bit.

This is not the first bad experience I have had at this location and everyone I have spoken to concerning this situation has had similar issues EVERY time they've visited.

I genuinely hope that the administrators of this hospital location will consider these issues and how they can have serious legal repercussions made against them, and how this experience causes more trauma to the people under the hospitals care.

Something needs to be done about this, as this type of behavior, lack of care and hospitality is incredibly unacceptable for ANY hospital no matter the time, location, or people being treated! I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the treatment received and the experience I had.

Disappointed with Hospital ER department's negligent behavior.
Its one of worst place to visit. I was there with my 2 year old baby who was having 103 fever. and they left us in room for 3 hours. nobody came to give even a Tylenol to baby for fever. Nurses and other staff was busy watching tictoks and videos on their phone at nursing station. We had to leave without treatment. the hospital's staff behavior not only wasted our time but also put my baby's health at risk.

I am going to say the cliche if I could give them 0 or negative stars I would. Went there today for emergency help. I got in checked in and filled out all of their stuff and answered a few questions to the reception lady. They sat me in a room for three minutes before a doctor showed up. He told me it sounds like I have a pain issue and recommended I go see my primary doctor if the pain persist. I can barely walk or sit and he showed up to tell me less information than what the Google search I did earlier in the morning provided. Highway robbery. Go somewhere else. This was the worst experience ever on all ends.

All staff in this hospital needs to be fired
This is the worst hospital that I’ve been in my lifetime.
If you have to travel a couple of miles, the best hospital you should go to is Saint peters.
Hackensack Hospital needs to go back to school and to learn how to take care of their patients and their patient health

They show no concern. They are rude.
They are very disrespectful
And I would not trust them with my life
So I Suggest everyone that wants to be taken care of a proper Need to Visit Saint Peterā€˜s.

My experience there as I told them I need a Refill for my blood pressure. They checked my blood pressure and said my blood pressure is not even high so They did not supply me with medication. So they were messing with my health.
These Staff will neglect your health before helping you I did not even want to give it a star, but it’s the only way I could post this message
