The service at the Banning Holiday Inn was great—staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in smooth and pleasant. However, the rooms left much to be desired. They felt dated and could have been cleaner. There were small issues like worn-out furnishings and a musty smell that made the stay less comfortable than expected. It’s a shame because the service was top-notch, but the quality of the rooms really brought the experience down. Decent for a quick stop, but don’t expect much beyond good service.

This "hotel" does not deserve even a 1 star rating. On check in, we were double charged for our room and placed into the wrong room. The first room that we were placed in had mold and the cover for the a/c controls was broken. The second room we were placed in also had mold, and a large crack/hole (picture attached) in the wall of the shower. The a/c in this room also did not work half the time. We asked multiple times to speak to a manager, and up until the day we checked out, we were told that one would not be available to speak to about our refund for the secondary charge. We returned two hours later (after we checked out), after a front desk agent promised us she would call as soon as the manager came in. The manager was there, and had made other desk agents aware of her arrival that day. The lack of communication between the different shifts/desk people is fairly disconcerting. The manager then informed us that she had only been told of our issue the prior night, instead of the night we checked in as the lady who had checked us in promised she would do. All in all, this hotel is horribly disorganized, cannot effectively communicate with staff (or third party bookings), and is not worth ever staying at again. You are far better off staying at the La Quinta in Yucaipa.

On our first visit EVER to this hotel the elevator was BROKEN and my family had to walk up three floors WITH OUR LUGGAGE. Also quality of the food was TERRIBLE, the bagels were STALE and so were the muffins. In our room our iron and ironing board where both decrepit. The hotel was next to the highway and it was EXTREMELY loud when we were in our rooms. I would not recommend ANYONE stay at this "establishment" under any circumstance. The front desk staff did a good job to their credit.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here for a quick stay. Booked a free night on 08/02 and they charge a $50 security deposit. Nothing wrong with that every hotel does it. The problem is I used a MoneyLion physical card and have had a $60 charge pending until September 1st. I call them and lady I spoke to was quite rude, she sounded liked a younger Mexican lady. Short answers the whole time so I decided to match her tone and be rude back. Proceeded to says it was basically my fault for not using a card we can’t physically drive to and pull out money. How does that make sense? I’m a GM at a Holiday Inn from a small town and I’ve never had this issue. As long as you have a card on file, your security deposit gets refunded with 2-3 business days of your departure. She claimed that because I used a bank card that wasn’t a “main franchise” I got charged a different amount of $60 and she said they already refunded and took the $50 hold off their side. But it makes no sense because I have a pending charge of $60. I’ve been a GM for almost two years now and have never ran into this issue at my hotel so I dont understand why that would be a thing here? On top of that the room we stayed in wasn’t bad but it had a funky smell that was not pleasing. For the location it’s right off the highway and it’s more of a quick stay hotel than anything.

I would have given 5 stars on everything but when we got home I saw that they charged us $50 because they said the duvet and towels had some dirt on them....I'm guessing they don't use very good quality detergent? It's DIRT. My daughter was there for softball tournament and sat on the bed for a minute before she realized she needed to change out of her uniform. Over 20 years of staying at hotels and Airbnb's and we have NEVER been charged for dirtying the duvet or towels, etc. Might not want to stay here if they're going to nickel and dime you over something like that.

It’s really a nice room. I had a good stay, complementary breakfast. The furniture is really in good condition. I was given a late check out. Thank you very much for the experience.

The hotel failed to meet expectations, with several disappointing aspects. Firstly, the lobby lacked air conditioning, resulting in an uncomfortable temperature of 83 degrees Fahrenheit according to the thermostat. Furthermore, the parking lot reeked of urine.

Additionally, upon entering my room, I discovered a visibly stained duvet. The breakfast options were subpar, and the absence of body wash or soap in the shower was inconvenient.

Overall, my experience was unsatisfactory. I cannot recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.
