We spent one night at the location. I had booked last minute thru the app and accidentally chose the wrong date. From the moment we arrived it felt like we were in a family member's home. The warmth of welcome was compared to no other hotel visits on this trip (7 different locations). John Lewis greeted us at the front desk and assisted in fixing my booking error with kindness and grace. Let me pick a duck for extra points (the points never came thru on my account but that's ok because the service was that great). We went up to the room and settled in and left an hour or so later for dinner. John was right there to see us off and offer suggestions on where to go as well as confirm all was well with our room and we had no other needs. Such a great fit he is. Personable and kind and makes you feel right at home. The room was also just right. All clean and tidy. There was an issue with the coffee pot in room but coffee on demand in the lobby was a definite perk.

Brought 20 teenagers and 16 adults here for a trip for 6 days
The staff was amazing and very accommodating. John at the front desk was super friendly and he needs a raise.
Rooms were clean, breakfast was always hot. Gym and pool were usable. Had an issue with a/c first day and they moved us rooms quickly. Perfect place to stay.

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly.. Room was clean and well furnished.

Soft water was a nice surprise but at the same time it made the shower EXTREMELY slippery. There was no texture on the tub floor to stabilize your footing. This seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen so I would address asap.

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, just what you look for in a hotel. The price was reasonalble. The check in process was great, I believe it was Jonathon at the front desk, outstanding customer service skills and people skills. He did great!! I will stay here again when I'm in town it is the perfect from our Dayton facility. The breakfast is pretty darn good too!

After reading reviews, we decided to check into this hotel on our way back home. We needed a handicap room and the facilities were great for my husband in his wheelchair. We had a problem with the refrigerator, not being plugged in completely and called the front desk. Ashley came and resolved the problem as we couldn’t access the outlet ourselves.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and if we are ever back this way again, we would surely stop here.

It’s a great location right off the interstate and in the surrounding area there are plenty of options for food dining.

We were very happy with the quality of this Holiday Inn.

We exclusively stay at IHG properties and frequently use them for both personal and work-related travel. Unfortunately, this property falls short compared to others in the IHG portfolio. Here’s a breakdown of our experience:

Pros

1. Clean Room: Our room was spotless, and we had no complaints here.

2. Convenient Location: Easy access to the highway.

3. Quick Check-In: The check-in process was efficient.

Cons

1. Breakfast Quality: The breakfast was unacceptable. Soft apples, green bananas, and moldy oranges were unappetizing. The sausage gravy was sour, and the biscuits were overcooked to the point of being inedible. I’ve had this same sausage gravy over 20 times at other IHG properties, and it has never been this dark or tasted this off. The biscuits were dry, dark brown, and felt like hockey pucks. We ended up throwing everything away.

2. Unprofessional Staff: The front desk staff lacked professionalism and friendliness. They appeared distracted, avoided eye contact, and didn’t offer a personal touch. The outdoor parking area and lobby had a noticeable odor, which might explain their demeanor.

3. Poor Maintenance: The property felt neglected. Flickering lights gave the halls an eerie atmosphere, a sign had fallen off the wall on our floor, and trash (including soggy apples) was left in the elevators.

4. Luggage Carts: The luggage carts were unstable and difficult to use, adding unnecessary frustration.

5. Unsecure Environment: The surrounding area felt unsafe. The presence of homeless individuals near the building, dirty parking lots, and the proximity to a busy road and gas stations made the location feel sketchy and unwelcoming.

Overall Impression

This property needs significant improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and staff professionalism to compete with other IHG locations. The poor condition of the building, unfriendly staff, and lackluster amenities made our stay disappointing. It’s unfortunate that I used my points here; I regret the decision and would not recommend this location.

Amber checked us in and was able to honor a room request, which was very much appreciated. The 4th floor cleaning staff including Josh was great and the room was spotless. The furniture in the room was in good shape. This is run by an Indiana franchise and they are maintaining the property. The breakfast was passable, not very appetizing.

The facility was very clean and the staff very friendly. We asked to check in early and even though they had a full house the night before she was able to accommodate my request. The person in charge of breakfast was fabulous!
