My Wife, our girlfriend and myself stayed two nights and rode the Clewiston Comet train. We arrived late Friday but the desk was attended and the we were quickly helped and thanked for staying. We were made aware of all amenities and told to not hesitate to ask if we needed anything. We found the room clean and well furnished for our needs with a sitting area and coffee table and a desk with a comfortable desk chair. The hotel is a few minutes from the Train Depot and we were complimented on our outfits since we decided to dress in early 1900‘s fashion to match the Steam Engine‘s era. We returned to the room afterwards to change into more comfortable attire and was given a few suggestions on good places to eat and things to see in the area. Overall we had a wonderful time and would suggest anyone who visits the area to consider this hotel.

Everything about this hotel is well managed. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms and common areas were spotless, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the temperature control was spot-on. The breakfast is what you would expect and it was kept clean and well stocked (they have tasty cinnamon rolls!)|We were there for family wedding in the area so spent a lot of time in the common area. There was a problem with the elevator call button but the staff was very good at a work-around by opening the door from the back side whenever we needed it. Since it was just as easy to take the stairs, we discovered that even the stairwells were clean, wide, and well maintained.|Location is close to shopping and fast-food and a short drive to 'downtown' and larger restaurants.

I found this to be a clean, modern/updated hotel located just a few minutes from downtown. Nightly rate was a bit pricey but comparable with other hotels in the area during my visit. My room had a nice view of the lake. Staff was always nice.

The staff was very nice. They greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. Offered snacks, made us feel very confident in our choice of this property vs a property in seabring, Fl. (Bigger cith) ot was perfect. Quiet, seemed like a new hotel. We enjoyed our room very much, we had dinner in our room and watched a movie.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Lake Placid and had a fantastic experience. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

I especially want to mention Kenny Sides, the front office manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. He was always available to answer any questions and provide recommendations for things to do in the area. His professionalism and excellent customer service truly made a difference in our stay.

Overall, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Lake Placid for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Thank you to Kenny and the rest of the staff for a wonderful stay.

We stayed two nights for a local wedding, so there were quite a few of us in residence. We felt the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the hotel as a whole is well maintained from the rooms to the breakfast area to the stairwells. We had a couple mechanical glitches which the staff was eager to correct or work around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for all of our requests and welcomed us each time we entered the lobby.
The breakfast is what you expect for this mid-level hotel but they do have some very tasty cinnamon rolls and nice fresh apples and bananas along with coffee 24/7. I didn't use it but there is gym and possibly a business area (printer?).
I would definitely choose this Holiday Inn again if I am in the area.

The hotel room was not clean. Found hair on the bathroom floor and shower tub. The carpet looked stained and dirty. Fresh towels were not restocked.
We even wondered if anybody really cleaned the room. The room needed some general maintenance. The bathroom door locks were broken. The bathroom toilet seat was broken. Also the bathroom sink was slow to drain. When I mentioned that to the front desk attendant, he didn't really seem to care. I asked if they can fix it asap. He said sorry we don't have maintenance during the weekend. That is NOT acceptable. I paid a lot of money to stay at a hotel with a great reputation and was really disappointed. At the very least the hotel should have gave a little discount for staying in such a poorly serviced room. I have never stayed at a Holiday with poor quality. I feel this hotel in particular left a sour experience.

The reason for the low marks is for the poor lighting in handicap suite 118. The suite was large and spacious but had very little lighting. At night this was a problem with the blinds closed. The only light to read by without eye strain was at the desk. There was no lighting at all above or near the wet bar area. Our guests that visited in the suite noticed the issue as well. There were plenty of receptacles where floor lamps could have been placed. I took the manager on duty to the suite to show him the issue. He said that upper management would not allow any changes. He even said that we were not the first to point out this issue.

We normally stay at Holiday Inn Express when traveling. We were obviously disappointed this time, especially with the managers response. HIE should correct the lighting issue- especially in a handicap suite. Hopefully, this condition only exists in suite 118.

Ironically, this was the most expensive stay per night that we ever paid at a HIE.
