We had a great stay at this hotel!
Friendly staff and exceptionally clean! ☺️
Beautiful views from our room. We could see mountains ?️ and trees ? but on the other side is the boat dock ?️
Continental breakfast—most of the times are terrible from these types of hotels, but they served a great breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, ? and you can toast your own bread in the commercial toaster! ? ? Large variety of juices and even alternative milk available!!!
One feature that was convenient and not mentioned—the mini store of snacks and beverages! Open 24/7 with a scan&go checkout station. I always forget a water bottle or need a granola bar for the road, this was so convenient!!! If you arrive late and need dinner they sell frozen meals that you can take up to your room and microwave it!
They also sell toothpaste and phone chargers if you didn’t pack those!! ?
If I am ever in need of booking a last minute hotel, I would definitely consider a Holiday Inn wherever I am.
Peep ? the pics!!!

Front desk personnel very friendly and accommodating. Gave us a Harbor view with balcony. Room was large. We were given a second floor king sized bed as requested. Only thing was it was a handicapped room. No problem though. Lots of room, but shower took a bit to figure out. Floor got a bit wet after showering. Nice bed and furnishings. Room was quiet. We were here for a Wednesday and Thursday night.||. Not too impressed with breakfast though. First breakfast, coffee urn empty, but replaced soon after. Choices were pretty limited. Egg like omelettes with cheese. Very low choice of yogurts. Apple, bananas and some really sad looking oranges. Overcooked sausages. Second morning I got the last cup of coffee from the urn and the lady behind me was a bit upset. She went to the front desk to ask about getting more coffee. They had biscuits and gravy on Friday morning. Gravy tray was empty so hubby didn’t get any. The breakfast crew needs to be a little bit more attentive. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay. Such a close walk and drive to harbor village. Would definitely stay here again. Check out gal was very pleasant. Very easy check out.

Paid $324 for room with harbor view + $12 parking fee. At that price you expect things to work and be clean. The heater was not working. There was big stains in the carpet. PLEASE FIX HEATER MODE & CLEAN THE CARPET in room 257! That would have made the stay so much more comfortable. We did like the location, it's close to Channel Islands. Breakfast was fine, and our room was updated.

This is a no frills hotel. There's no pool, no view, and parking is an extra upcharge. It has a modest breakfast in the morning. There's minimal bedding and bathroom supplies in the room, but at least there were no bedbugs as far as we could tell.

Positive: The location for those using Ventura Harbor is the saving grace for this hotel. Negative: No housekeeping service. The breakfast is poor. Keys stop working after two nights even for a longer stay. When I began my stay, there was no soap in the room. I had to go to the front desk twice and beg for soap to get any.

I have a long story about this property that I will endeavor to condense. When I called in March to ask about a coming April 29 stay I was told the reservation could not be found. That was OK as I had wanted to change dates anyway. I rebooked on the IHG app for later in the same week. However when April 29 came my card was charged and I was sent an email asking me how my stay went! I called the hotel and they were totally unhelpful (the first of many attempts to get this resolved). Later that week I decided to just dispute the charge with my credit card. Unfortunately Holiday Inn refused the dispute and I didn’t have “proof” so I had to go back to square one and deal with it directly through the hotel. After much emailing to the General Manager (who kept saying he was going to look into it) I finally called and got another person who thankfully was somewhat more helpful. It still took many phone calls to get anything done. The ball always seemed to be in my corner. Unfortunately their resolution was to grant me 15k IHG points (which went up to 20k after I complained) which isn’t even half what the night was worth (46000 for the same night next April)! Even though the hotel itself was nice, with a nice room and relaxing harbor view, I will never place myself in a position to go through any customer service need with this hotel again. It took me from May 1 till the middle of August to get this unsatisfactory resolution.

We arrived late and left early, so we were not in our room a ton but check-in was quick and easy. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the typical Holiday Inn Breakfast. The main reason we stayed here was location. It’s close to Island Packers, which we took out to Channel Islands National Park. Picture is our view of the marina.

I booked a 2 night stay. They have a policy of not making up your room unless you stay 3+ nights. If you want your room serviced otherwise, you must request it 24 hrs in advance. What a joke. This is not 2020 Covid era any longer. When I asked for an exception I got a condescending attitude and flippant response. So much for being a Platnium Elite Member. I cancelled my 2nd night (with no help from staff. Had to call IHG) and I will not stay here again. For the $$ they charge and $12/night parking, I expect a cleaned room and a respectful attitude.
