As a recent review stated, the hotel is undergoing renovation, which was a surprise to us. It didn't really affect our stay, except that we had to walk through the construction to get to the elevator. The first room had a sink completely full of water, so they gave us another room. That room had a lot of trouble with the magnetic keys getting demagnetized, and my husband made about 3 or 4 separate trips back to the lobby to get the keys fixed. The room itself was dated, but we were comfortable. The staff that we interacted with were very friendly and were doing the best with what they had to work with.

AVOID - UNDER MAJOR RENOVATION. Not revealed anywhere, this hotel is under major renovation activity. No fitness center. No guest laundry. Condition of available rooms is poor. Bathroom door didn’t latch. Plumbing and faucets are in terrible shape. Bathroom tub and sink would not drain. Also not revealed is a $10 daily parking fee.
Staff was helpful and friendly.
The Motel 6 next door would have been a better choice.

This hotel has spacious rooms with comfortable beds, microwaves, and mini-fridges, and we really appreciate the friendly and helpful staff.
I would have given 5 stars but we were there for a month and the laundry was out of order the entire time, this is one of the reasons we wanted to stay here, we are working 6 days a week so on our only day off we have to go to the laundromat and we also had to buy more clothes because of not being able wash every 3 days and the unexpected parking fees.

My husband and I took a last minute trip to Santa Maria this past weekend to tour a few apartments in the area. I booked the hotel room the day of at a decent price and we began driving from San Diego later in the afternoon making us arrive at the hotel around 11 pm. When we arrived, we were immediately welcomed by Terrell who was absolutely wonderful! He was so upbeat and knowledgable about all the amenities and questions we might have had about our stay. He then upgraded us to a larger room to insure we got the best sleep possible before the busy day we had planned for the following day. The rooms were nice, the pool was warm for a quick swim in the morning, and the staff made our experience even better. The restaurant on property was cute and they waited on my husband to take his order closer to their closing time because he was running behind packing our items into the car and they wanted to make sure he was fed before closing their kitchen. They never made us feel like an inconvenience and were welcoming throughout our entire stay!

I checked out of room 237 after a one-night stay. Unfortunately, I forgot a sweatshirt and a bodysuit, which I am certain I left on the bedside table that morning. Upon realizing my oversight, I immediately reached out to the hotel to report the forgotten items.

Since then, I have made multiple attempts to inquire about my belongings, only to be met with dismissive and unprofessional responses. Specifically, a staff member at the front desk has repeatedly hung up on me and, in our most recent conversation, informed me that no further assistance would be provided because the items were allegedly not found.

While I understand that oversights can happen, I am concerned with the apparent lack of initiative and courtesy from your team in handling my situation.

I believe the staff’s handling of my calls does not reflect the high standards of service that Holiday Inn is known for.

My stay at this Holiday Inn was extremely disappointing. The carpet was gross, the bathtub was unclean with long hairs left by the previous guest, and the sink was clogged. The bed sheets were somewhat dirty, and the towels had a strange coffee smell. The noise from outside was loud, and the sliding door tracks were so old that it was difficult to close them properly. This room was by far the worst I’ve ever stayed in at any Holiday Inn.

On top of that, I was informed only upon arrival that there’s a $10 parking fee, which is very odd since there was no clear mention of this charge when I booked the room.

Positive: Comfy beds, balcony, a bit of seclusion, plenty of grassy areas for a dog walk, heated pool, kitchenette, clean room, friendly and approachable staff, plenty of stairwells/exits Negative: Water pressure in the shower/tub, back up in pipes (the toilet will randomly flush and the kitchenette would back up and go down, all on its own), breakfast was not complimentary, complimentary waters were not supplied at checkin/at all, convenience mart$

Pretty old rooms, they know about the issues with the drain and swage, the company that I work for stay there for 4 months, I had the room flooded coming from the kitchen sink, all the way to the bed, they never did anything on this time is been a year since I was there, all that said it was next time you come we do something for you, it was 10 pm when the room got flooded and 11 when maintenance guy showed up, they were trying to suck the water out and I was 12 knowing I was getting up at 5 they kept me there, till the nice lady at the front desk offered me another room, but didn't know they trying to charge me for that room on my bill, shame on you holiday Santa maria California
. All the money you made from 20 people staying there and don't care about people. Avoid this place stay across the street pr somewhere else.
