I love going to Catalina and this was our best experience ever thanks to the Metropole. The beautifully decorated VIP suite was super clean and beautiful, with incredible views of the town, ocean and harbor. We enjoyed the large outdoor sitting area, the muffins and croissants in the morning and the awesome bouquet of fresh flowers in our room. Location was excellent, right in town, easy to get to shops, galleries and restaurants. The M at the Metropole was a great choice for dinner. Thanks to all of the employees who were always helpful and friendly.

A great place to stay. Our room was facing the ocean with a balcony to enjoy the view. Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Hotel staff was friendly and it was situated close to just about everything in Avalon. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip to Catalina, so maybe I had unrealistic expectations for this hotel. I chose it over the Pavilion due to the location near the restaurants we wanted to go to. The location is excellent and we discovered that most every place on Catalina is within walking distance so that really wasn't a factor. Although M is right downstairs! |We reserved a Superior King and got an accessible room with an enormous bathroom with safety bars. The 3rd floor room was small with a balcony that had 2 chairs and a small table and overlooked the courtyard. The room had mirrored closet doors and a refrig and Keurig. There was a desk with chair, a round table with 2 chairs, but no comfortable easy chair. The wood floor felt gritty and the dresser drawers were stuck. We used the shelves in the closet. The entry door was warped so light showed through on the sides and underneath. The huge bathroom had a large shower with good water pressure and a small vanity with a bright mirror. |The "breakfast" is minimal and there are no tables and chairs. You have to take it upstairs (there are trays). Coffee, tea, OJ, cereal, yogurt, and a few pastries.|Overall, the rooms need an uplift and this hotel is overpriced.

This hotel is pretty good for the price. Stayed here almost a week ago and was pretty satisfied. You're VERY close to most stores and restaurants. Staff was always nice. Housekeeping checked in everyday when u needed them. Only thing I have to say is about the air unit in the room. Evert time it switched on, it sounded like a bad motor was starting up. Unfortunately, it's the summer so we needed it on continuously. Definitely woke me up at night. But other than that, it was a good stay.

Amazing location. Comfortable rooms and bed. Excellent shower. Nice accommodations. Love the courtyard area. Staff was so friendly. My sister, mother and I stayed. We loved the live music in the courtyard and all the shops. Definitely will come back here

I’ve stayed here before and loved it just as much the 2nd time. The room I wanted (102 I think) was booked so I called and the recommended 105 and the view was just as wonderful. Everything in the room looks brand new and high end. It’s in a fantastic location on top of many great shops and near tons of restaurants. It’s a short 5 minute walk from the boat. Also, upon returning from dinner there was a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses waiting for us! Such a nice touch. We will be back.

We have stayed here several times before and it was wonderful.... Previously we had rooms on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the Harbor. Great room! This time our room overlooked the side street and was across the hall from the motors powering the jaquizzi. Horrible! Motor noise all day till 11:00at night and road noise late at night am beginning again early morning. DO NOT TAKE ROOM 316! In addition our TV did not work even with the maintenance guy coming up & could not watch the baseball playoffs. And finally ... The bathtub was not fully operational. Could not transfer from the main faucet to the spray. Probably had not been used in a while. Just stuck! We were dissappointed

We stayed at the Metropole for four days while attending a wedding on the island. Everything was nice and in order and the air conditioning worked great. The staff was friendly and the Continental breakfast had pretty good selections and a couple of different juices and coffee.
