I just completed my PADI open water diver with enriched air (Nitrox) courses with Huron Scuba. It was some extensive online learning, followed up by two classroom days and two days in a pool with the scuba gear. I can’t say enough good things about this place! The owner Brian is friendly and knowledgeable about everything scuba. I had Alex and Eric as instructors and they were amazing! Alex was the lead instructor and he was friendly, patient, encouraging, and very articulate about every exercise/task that we had to complete to meet all requirements. These people are true professionals and passionate about scuba diving. I knew nothing about scuba diving before I walked in the door and now I’m confident and excited to start taking scuba diving vacations! Thanks Huron Scuba!

I completed the first portion of SCUBA training with Huron Scuba. Everyone I've met and worked with is fantastic. I had some trouble with one of the diving skills and legit thought I was going to have to drop out, but the lead instructor Alex worked with Brian the owner to figure out how to get me through the skill. Alex worked with me, got me through and I was able to resume the course. Alex, Eric, Alicia, and the Scotts are fantastic educators and people.

My sons got certified this weekend with Huron Scuba, and I was able to tag along. It was a great experience. The instructors and dive masters were extremely patient and helpful and all the information we needed was provided in detail prior to the dive.

The dive site is really pretty and has lots of interesting features and varied terrain (along with dedicated platforms and buoys to aid in performing skills).

I can't recommend Huron Scuba highly enough. My boys had a great time throughout their classes and the open water dives at Gilboa Quarry were the perfect way to finish.

We did a Bubble maker Birthday Party with Huron Scuba and it was the most amazing experience for the kids! Kristina was so patient and helpful with teaching the kids about the gear and Chris took amazing underwater pictures for the kids to have. Brian, the owner is very good at helping organize it all. It was truly an experience the kids will never forget and it opened their eyes to new adventures!

This is by far the best scuba shop I've ever worked with. The store is large, bright and cheery with a great selection of scuba accessories as well of everything from dry suits to BCD's. The staff is super knowledgable and friendly. In addition they offer scuba training and they organize trips all over the world for scuba vacations. My wife and daughter went through open water certification and I got my nitrox certification, the instructors were phenomenal and really made sure you understood every aspect. The also have first class training center in the basement and teach very hands on. As an added bonus the owner also fixes and sells old arcade and pinball machines, he has a great selection in the store you can play while there... scuba and arcade games... best combo ever! Thanks Huron Scuba and thanks Brian for a terrific experience!

My husband and I just completed a discovery course with Kristina and it was a really wonderful experience. I was a bit nervous, but excited to try. I felt that she explained everything clearly, and that we were introduced to each skill in a very calm, systematic way. We had her complete attention and I felt very secure trying these foreign skills! It was a successful introduction and we are now going to take the full course.

Edited to add: we have finished the elearning and confined water portion of our certification. Thank you to Alex and Bart for making the entire process a great experience! We will complete our open water dives on our next trip to the Caribbean… we can’t wait!
