First time staying at this Hyatt. Nice facility, room was very good, good size, clean, well appointed. Staff was wonderful from Steve at the front desk to the housekeeping staff would always great me. Breakfast was much better than most, Surprised they served raspberries and fresh blackberries along with other nice items. The 1 item that was a real detraction was the pool and spa. The pool was ice cold outdoors. The adjacent spa was the something terrible Ive never seen before. See attch photo. No sign or anything advising the reason for the poor condition. Hope they look at this. Other wise I would stay again.

The room was pretty nice but it was not serviced by housekeeping once in the three days we were there.||The hotel restaurant that was advertised in the booking as well as in the room itself was closed the entire time we stayed. We were not told about this ahead of time. We got dressed up to go down to dinner the first night and were told the restaurant was closed but that there were "restaurants across the street." But this is not true as the entire town of Delano has nothing but fast food so we had to eat fast food the entire trip.||The included breakfast was pretty terrible.||Also, be warned that there is a train that will go by and wake you up three times a night.

Overall pleased not only this this particular Hyatt Place but with Hyatt Place generally. We stay in a Hyatt Place in Ohio and have found that one great as well. This place offered early check in for $20; as we were coming from another hotel 45 minutes away that had a 12noon checkout time, I appreciated being able to check in before the normal 3pm time. Gave us a chance to get settled and cleaned up before our afternoon activities.

We had a one night stop here on our way to Yosemite. The Hyatt Delano exceeded our expectations with the friendly staff, well equipped gym, very comfortable room (even watched a colorful sunset over the valley from our room!), extremely comfortable bed and a fantastic breakfast. Having had breakfast at other Hyatt Places in the past, this one was levels above others! The fresh fruit and berries offered were on par with a five star hotel and were such a treat.

We also really enjoyed dinner at a local taqueria that was a short drive away- it’s called Mas Vida and we highly recommend it. Thanks for a great stay!

We were pleased with our stay at the hyatt. It was very clean. The breakfast area was nice, and the breakfast was definitely a step above other chains. It included several healthy choices such as an array of fresh berries and other fruit, and whole wheat waffles. The location felt safe and was located near several restaurants.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days while on a work trip. I chose this hotel because I wanted to feel safe, and I felt it would be a step up from the Best Western. However, I had a difficult time sleeping due to the loud AC noises coming from the two vents in the room that continued throughout my stay (I included a video of this). It sounded like I was inside a wind tunnel next to a train engine, and the earplugs they provided didn't fully mask this sound. Yes, Highway 99 is located next to the hotel and there is a train that passes nearby, but the noise from the AC actually drowns out those sounds. Haha.

There was also an unexpected fire alarm testing I wasn't aware of. I gave the gallery host a call to check in on what was happening, because I wasn't sure if it was a fire or a mass shooting. The staff mentioned that they had called my room a few hours before the test, but no one answered. I really think there has to be a more effective way to inform guests, especially since not everyone is in their rooms all the time.

I had checked in the night before, left for work in the morning, and returned in the late morning without any notice about the testing. It would have been much better if guests were informed about this during check-in. The situation got even worse when TWO MEN ABRUPTLY OPENED MY ROOM DOOR UNANNOUNCED WHILE THE FIRE ALARM WAS GOING OFF AND WITHOUT KNOCKING while I was working at my desk, which was startling, scary, and not appropriate. What if I was naked?! I had just gotten out of the shower, and I could have totally been undressed. When I called the host about the alarm 15 minutes earlier, they should have given me a heads up about two men needing to enter my room.

Overall, this was definitely one of my worst hotel stays, and I don't think I'll be returning. Also, the blackout curtains didn't do the job and the provided earplugs don't work. Bring your own earplugs and an eye mask here if you're sensitive to light and sounds when sleeping.

Great stay! Very affordable! Comfy beds, spacious rooms. One of the best Hyatt breakfasts yet! Friendly staff! Nice pool and fitness center. Very quiet. Other reviews complain about train noise, but we only heard it once and it did not disturb our sleep - plus they provide ear plugs for light sleepers.
Only downside is shower/toilet is not great and no parking passes are issued so shady characters can circle the parking lot and scope out cars to break into, plus the security guard is always asleep in his car. But local police are pretty quick, so no worries about that.
Overall very nice stay!

Hyatt brand has always made my stay better. We were on a road trip and we know that Hyatt has the best “2-star” hotels out there. This Hyatt place Delano is modernized and very clean. Will stay again in the future!
