We had the absolute privelege of a private tour with Scott Guthrie. It’s no small ask to spend 2 days with four children and Scott exceeded all expectations. We have travelled extensively and never met such an enchanting story teller. His knowlege and love of Scotland is so wide and deep and he brought this country alive before us. The ultimate gentleman, he patiently answered 1000 curious questions, managed the unexpected with calm rationality and was ever positive and uncomplaining despite a tragic road accident causing many hours delay - he found a detour and worked late to ensure we didn’t miss anything. A wonderfully safe driver, personable, warm and winsome. We absolutely loved his detailed commentary on Sterling Castle, extra research into our clan history, moving and considered reflections on the Highland history and Culloden Battlefields. As a wonderful bonus, his Outlander knowlege is second to none. His special touches took such thought: coins for a special place, planning for stretch and fun breaks for the kids, even bringing food for the Highland Cows. He took some wonderful family photos for us which we will treasure. He sang ditties for the children in the traffic jam (the kids are still singing about Mary Mack!) and there was no question he couldn’t answer. After decades of excellent tours, Scott has taken our hearts as our favourite ever guide. Scotland will always have a warmth of welcome in our memories that is decidedly Scott shaped. We heartily commend Inverness Tours to you, don’t miss it!

I was in a group of 10 and we had two buses, Laura and Dave were our tour guys. They were so animated and knowledgeable and relatable. We went to Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, Urquhart castle and Glenn Afric.
They were patient with our touristy questions and kept us engaged throughout the entire 10 hour day. I cannot recommend this tour group enough!! I would 100% book them again the next time I am in Scotland.

We had an amazing time on our Inverness tour with Scott Guthrie!! He made our trip to Scotland so memorable with his knowledge of Scotland and took us to all the places we wanted to see and to some places that were so breath taking and beautiful. I am so thankful we chose Inverness Tours for our trip to Scotland at the end of September 2022. Our guide, Scott Guthrie, was so organized, kind and knowledgeable! We toured for six days all over Scotland and the miles flew by with all his folktales, historical facts and special stops for pictures that were completely out of the way--we would have never known to find these places ourselves. The two other couples we travelled with were friends by the first evening and we all had a grand time. There were a couple of times where Outlander was actually filming and we could not get to a location that was planned, so Scott re-arranged our schedule so we could see other special places --and then luckily on our way back from Inverness they had just cleared the film crew from "Craig na Dun" --and we were able to see that iconic site--with the grass still crushed from the "stones" they used for filming the day before! If you are interested in Outlander as well as Scottish history, this is the tour for you. I especially recommend Scott as your guide--we were asking him to travel with us as we continued down to Liverpool because he was such an integral part of our trip and we were sad to say goodbye. Thank you Scott!

I can’t say enough good things about our tour guide Scott Guthrie! He went out of his way to make everyone comfortable and happy, he took our pictures, chose the most charming lunch spots, and entertained us with folk lore stories! His knowledge of his country is incredible! And he is also an Outlander expert! I can’t recommend him enough!!!! 5 Stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had the pleasure of going on an Outlander tour with Scott G. It’s one of the best memories and time of our lives. Scott is amazing, very knowledgeable, great sense of humor and made us feel safe while traveling everywhere. Hope to come back soon.
