There’s no better way to see the amazing scenery of Alaska’s southeast region and there’s no better pilot than Michelle & her team!! Our 2 hour seaplane flight was nothing short of incredible. We traveled up into the mountains and fjords while Michelle eagerly shared her extensive local knowledge and love for the area. We landed on a lake among the mountains, high above the city in what was a breathtaking, untouched scene. It’s hard to visualize the vastness of Alaska from land or sea, but on Michelle’s seaplane we got a small glimpse into this amazing place! Most definitely one of the best things I have ever done with the family. Adam was an amazing pilot and shared a lot of knowledge about the area. We were so lucky to land at this beauty of an island. This was the best experience to see the fjords! Michelle was awesome and answered the millions of questions my 11 year old had to ask. She even took family pictures, my son said it was his favorite experience of our whole trip.

When in Ketchikan, the Misty Fjords tour with Island Wings Air Service is a not-to-be-missed, awe-inspiring experience! There are no words to describe the beauty you will take in during the flight. It literally brought tears to my eyes to witness the majesty of it all. And Michelle Masden, the owner/pilot, is a true gem. Other reviewers say she is highly skilled, knowledgeable, professional, etc. Yes, she is definitely all of those things, but she is an even better person. Genuinely warm-hearted, caring, and kind. I won’t go into all of the details, but know that the circumstances of my encounter with her proved that to be true. You will not regret booking a tour with this company. It is an emotional experience that you will never forget!

We flew with Adam who was a fantastic pilot and tour guide. I learned a lot about the Misty Mountain Fjords and flying in general. I can’t compliment him enough. The views from the plane were outstanding but the best part was landing in a secluded lake where we got off the plane and got to experience the absolute majesty of the place. Adam took a photo of my wife and that I can’t stop looking at. Island Wings should definitely be part of your Ketchikan experience.

What a lifetime experience doing the 2hr Misty Fjords Tour! Pickup from our meeting location near the Cruise docks was easy. Excellent longstanding local business ran by local pilot/owner. Taking off and landing on water was so smooth. We had wonderful weather and the sights left me speechless. The best part was landing on the Fjord and getting out to take pictures. It was peaceful and postcard perfect. Our pilot took a variety of wonderful pictures for us.

To make this whole experience possible was our pilot Adam. From his skillful flying capabilities to his wealth of knowledge he had the ability to answer every question we could think of. He kept things lite and fun.

Now, the bonus to all this fun and beauty is the fact that Adam is quite attractive and well spoken. With a deep calm voice it got me thinking...

Why is Adam in Ketchikan? He told us of his journey's and how he just kept coming back to Ketchikan. He did not share his love life but it made wonder, was he searching for love? I image Adam's future may be caught up in a Hallmark love story. Hunky single pilot lonely for love meets a stressed out "from the big city" woman whose long lost great aunt died leaving the town's only yarn shop to her. We'll call her Darcy. Darcy is scared of flying and bumps into Adam at the local coffee shop. He literally bumps into her spilling all her coffee over her blouse. He apologizes, and....long story short, he gets to know her and convinces her to fly with him where she learns to love flying. She loves Alaska and all the Misty Fjords has to offer. What an Adventure! Adam learns to knit and falls madly in love with Darcy where they become the town's "it couple" taking over yarn and flying.

But in all seriousness, this was a great flying experience and I know Adam is a top notch fella and made all the difference for this flight and experience. Not to mention, Adam's cousin who helped prep the flight and pick us up. Awesome people, great business. Thank you for making our Alaska trip the very best we could have imagined!

Words can’t describe how amazing this was! I was extremely nervous and almost chickened out and I’m so glad I didn’t! The staff was very reassuring and kind. Michelle the pilot was absolutely amazing. Not only is she a great pilot she did such a good job pointing out things I wouldn’t have noticed. She took us to Nooya lake and took great group photos of us. The plane ride was smooth and the scenery was breathtaking. I couldn’t have imagined a better tour of Ketchikan. 10/10 recommend
